The combo was a lot of fun. I  made too many mistakes though, like braking too late at that last chicane, and getting a wheel on the other side of a kerb causing a spin, a few times.  But still had some good racing.

that last chicane, never really knew the best way to take it. Seemed to be quickest straight lining into the 1st part under brakes over all the curbs. Other times i could kinda float-drift-wtfslide through it which felt great but hard to replicate.

I had a ball last night, a very good track for the Cobra and putting in some consistent laps this week allowed for some good racing.  Rob I battled out many a lap and pleased looking at the stats, pickup up places from the initial grid.

The chicane certainly shorted the boys from the men, I didn't find a 'perfect line' but got through without 'sweating hittig anything', but certainly lost time there, compared to the faster drivers.

The more I drive the Cobra, the more races we have, the more I like/enjoy the car.  Even with the smaller Thursday turnout, it is a nice race series.
I think once others put some time in, they will come and come to enjoy the mod... onward onward!

I upped the 'CLIENT_SEND_INTERVAL_HZ=20' and also
[DYNAMIC_TRACK]
SESSION_START=100
RANDOMNESS=0
LAP_GAIN=1
SESSION_TRANSFER=100

not sure I noticed a change in the grip, but always have been a Philistine to the finer points of sim racing. :)

The standings will be up... soon. *grin*

Next week you will have to follow me around the track and i will talk you through... I am not the fastest, which makes me the probable person to emulate Dick.  the 'very slow in' is the key, but so hard get it right.
Hey Wally you got some great laps in, lucky Guy didn't have RSR on :)

Well I know i'm a Guybrush setup driver Bruce. I gave yours a go but after 3 laps of losing control on pretty much every corner I had to give it up. Tried letting the tyres down a bit but still couldn't keep it on the road. I don't know how you drive it around corners?? lol

The smaller the number, the more consistent your lap times are.
Formally, this is one standard deviation. So that means that 68% of your lap times where within that many seconds of your average.

Well as a last minute jump in to the Cobra I could hardly complete a lap without running off but managed to eventually get it together for 6th on the grid.
R1 was much better and I just focussed on keeping it on track which proved successful and I got home 4th.
R2 Not so good.  I spun on that tricky last chicane on lap 2 and fell right back.  I pushed on and was now starting to get a better feel for this car pushed on to grab a spot or two.
Some more time in this car would do me good, but it was a fun night!

scrappy first race for me, started with beaching it trying to give racing room, then gave wally a nice tap while he was duelling with gratulin and finally got stuck in the pit wall and lost a lap after getting caught up in some carnage. had a good run of luck so far in this series, that was about due :D

second race I put an extra 4psi in the tyres which helped heaps and ran a clean race, yo-yo'ing behind peter to bring home some points :)

another good nights racin'  8)

ps. love the stats
