The model looks amazing I will give this a go, its only an early release so Im sure anyone putting that much attention into the model will do all they can in terms of physics. In the notes it says Aris helped with the tyres so thats got to be a good start and I will give it a go soon.

for a free download it is priceless. They have a done swell job. sure, not perfect they say:
Known Issues
All cars are highest LOD WARNING may cause performance issues on lower end systems
Fuel Consumption not yet set
Damper setting still under development
Some graphical detail are still WIP
Sounds are placeholders and will be updated in the future

I didn't notice any of those things.

It handles like a boat. sounds like a 6 with a dropped cylinder and the manifold is not quite attached.
10/10 Will crash it into wall again.

Got the day off today so am giving all these cool new mods and tracks a run, quite like this one only drove the standard at Nords and it handles like a pig but its an American muscle car so it should be spot on.  :) It needs a bit of setup worl as the default is quite bad but a few changes and its quite nice.

In terms of the Known issues fuel use isnt there as far as I can tell, havent tried in a larger field where the LOD may be an issue but single car shouldnt have any effect there.

Sounds are ok but need a bit of work, downshifiting into 2nd I seem to grind more often then normal but will give the other ones a try. I dont really know how they differ but assume the others are tuned versions that go faster.

I too am on a day off. Just getting myself ready for two weeks off next week....  :o

This cobra really makes me want to use my shifter. It just seems to ask for chunky slow shifting.

it does feel like what I'd imagine a shelby cobra would handle like in real life. Like an American..

I always use the shifter if the car needs it, cant imagine driving something like this any other way. Just ran a lap in the SC version great car that is, this is going to be one of the best mods for sure. For a 0.1 version its pretty darn good already and very different to anything else we have in AC yet. Need some very fast wheel work to keep it on the black stuff as it has a mind of its own over crests and bumps.

Try it on Newbury. Great fun around there after the BMW 1M. Not as fast but, hey, 1967 versus 2013  :D

Even with some mild and extreme setup tweeks, entering a fast turn on light throttle, the beasty looses the back end and slowly piroettes with no effect to the slide/spin... :( But once I sort that small point, I will be looking forward to using the Cobra, certainly is fun.

How do you find the physics compared to P&G3?

I've tried this (very few laps, mind you), and to me something doesn't add up about it.  It's set to badly understeer, and it does just that by default.  Removing the front rollbar helps, though.

But no matter what, the rear end loves to step out at high speeds.   I'm not sure if it's a fubared setup or inherent problem, but it just feels wrong.
At normal speeds it behaves very much like the soapbox in nkp, almost like a direct conversion,  but the high-speed behaviour baffles me.

I did some more 'laps' last night, only a few due to frustration, as Bird said the back end just steps out at high speed and it's GONE.
With the 'vintage' tyres, it behaves nicely with plenty of controlled power sliding, but i think it still missing 'grunt'.
Fix the 'rear end' probs, may be damper fixes will be a  blessing???

I am i slow, i noticed in 'generic' setup that FFB is now included with a dampening option for FF too?
