My race 1 was good fun. I spent a lot of it on the tail of an ab156, Freezer, Bacchulum train. There were a few mistakes by all, a few passes, a bit of door banging, a bit of getting caught up in the aftermath of other peoples' mistakes - all good racing. I was quite hot by the end of that one.

Race 2 was short... I blew my engine trying to evade Kcender who darted across the track to enter the pits - I thought he was slowing and pulling over to the left of the track. That earned me about 11 mins in pits. I knew I wouldn't qualify as a finisher for points (you need to complete 75% race distance), so rather than get in the way, I didn't rejoin, but watched others. Disappointing, but after hundreds and hundreds of league races... that's racing.

Q. In the top 10. Set my best lap following Freezer and get a good run out of the last turn, slip streamed and tried two wide into turn one (hoping I might get let through) but of course didn't end well, sorry Freezer.
R1. Absolute shocker, jump start, missed pit box on drive through (you have to stop right?). Got back out on track and had a heap of mistakes pushing too hard. Ran out of fuel. Finished last.
R2. From last to fourth, although mostly from others mishaps I had a great race with everyone Able, Rob, Killa, to name a few, very good fun thanks guys

I'm pretty sure it's only a drive through penalty.

I think Wally's correct.
If you stop it's taking as a pit stop and not the penalty.

Good race for my return to the competitions lol   I was not very fast but i had fun!!  I like this format, not too short not too long races and my neck and arms are ok   :-*   In the second race maybe i could have done something better but unfortunately ableArcher locked the wheel pushing me off road in the first lap. Was fun fighting back though.

cheers guys!!    Joe won a race......hoooo  my my my.....good job mate!

Joe won a race......hoooo  my my my.....good job mate!

Thanks Simone!

Good night for my first proper night back racing. We'd run this track a few times on Thursday nights so I'm sure that helped a bit.

Race one I had some early position swaps back and forth with Jeremy but then he disconnected. Then had some back and forth position swapping with Phil and stayed close behind him until the last few laps when things were getting pretty slippery so I backed off a little and watched the gap to Mael behind.

Race two started second and got a good start behind Mael with him going wide on turn two giving me the lead. Had Freezer close behind for a few laps until I was going to go wide onto the sand at the hairpin so came off the power completely and Freezer must have done something similar and went off. I was then on my own until the end.

I had a bizarre night.

First race I hit Simone after he'd disappeared on the main straight and reappeared in front of me.....apparently. I must have hit a ghost because after I rejoined the track I saw he was still in 14th so I must have smacked a phantom car after a connection glitch.
That screwed race one.

Race two I had a car perform the most magical stunt car trick I've seen in some time by hitting a little rise in the road and continuing on like the end of Grease. I was distracted and crashed. My windscreen was shattered but the car seemed okay so I kept going, spinning a few times and thoroughly hating this car. I didn't like the other one we were considering either so I think it might be a long season.

If you stop it's taking as a pit stop and not the penalty.
Penalty was removed even with the stop but good to know I don't have to next time, was a complete crapper that race lol

If you missed your pit box it doesn't count as pit stop, so that was the fortunate bit. ;)

Did the pit crew do anything? ???
I know I've made that mistake but I had a stop preset so they changed tyres, when I left the penalty was hadn't cleared. :(

Cool, what did you get? slim bezels

They're these: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/37083/viewsonic-va2719-sh-fhd-27in-ips-monitor

Nothing special. I actually needed monitors for the new home office, so convinced the wife it made more sense to upgrade the sim monitors and use the old ones for the office  ;D

I just wanted 27" with a slimmer bezel. My old ones were 15mm per monitor. They're not lined up perfectly but I spent 3 hours doing it and I'd had enough. The side ones are slightly further forward with the bezels overlapping a little and very slightly higher, so things don't line up 100% in game but it's not really noticeable once playing.

Good price for 27inch ips, did you set the over drive setting to lower the pixel response time, only asking because my brother was looking at a viewsonic and 5ms response time was not default. Also not suggesting you need it but this video looked good for triple set ups. Would like to do triples one day...very cool

I haven't looked at the overdrive setting but I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks Wally!
Another well orchestrated evening.

First off I'll start with my Mea Cuppa, to Simone and Russ for first lap indiscretions. My reply only starts at lap 2 for some reason so haven't look at the video.
Quote
Race 2
AbleArcher locked up under brakes and ran wide from the inside of the corner, pushing Simone off track, and shortly after squeezed Russ off track – 15 kg penalty for the next round

Q I found my self in 10 position only to be knocked out by Wally, but finally found a 1:39:793' to put him back out of the top ten. I wonder if that had anything to do with the 15kg? ;D

P1 I followed @buellersdayoff jump start and had the same question about pit drvie thru penaltys. But got back to it with me chasing bueller till he spun @arents. After that I got on after Keith and Simone who were having a good tussell. That let me close in till they out raced each other into Colaseante turn. For the second half of the race I was after @Rob I just couldn't quite catch him till the last lap and stuck it up the inside @ the hairpin. I pick up one last place as @seanus ran out of fuel and was coasting for home. Apart from the jump start I started tenth and finished tenth.

P2 was better apart from the earlier mentioned incidents.  Best part of the race was the three wide down the straight with @Rob and @Doobs and wondering who would blink, sainity prevailed and we all made it thru. The next few laps, well the rest of the race I was chasing @Killa and being chased by Bueller. I over cooked it to the Hair pin I think I was distracted by @AB little excusion off the track and then Bueller was thru. I then spent 5 laps watchin Bueller and Killa go @ it, I was waiting for a mistake but no came that would help me. All the while @RussG had caught up and was filling the mirrors till I lock up going into cola which RussG did the next lap and handed the place back.

Not a bad night racing over all. If any one has the first couple of laps on video I would like to see what I did.

Cheers

It was some fun racing. I find this track really difficult.
Screwed up quali, then Bacchulum tricked me into a jump start...of course I stopped in the pits...even mucking around trying to adjust my position after there wasn't anything coming up indicating what to do...well, finally drove off thinking, wtf are you doing? Idiot ;-)
Then there was some bad driving till I finally got in a sort of rhythm.
R2, the obligatory 4 positions back, but with some luck that race went a lot better...was a challenging car/track combination for me.
Cheers

I'm not sure how much difference it would make but probably recommended for gaming and you can test the differences at blur busters https://www.testufo.com/

After struggling to finish a lap in practice, i actually had very few spins in the races thanks mainly to Mael's last minute suspension tip.
Race 1 saw me get up to p5 when a throttle problem kicked in for a few laps and cost me a few spots.
Something i have never seen before, was bacchulum making an error and me getting past!!!
Race 2 saw me chasing Joe to the end for a rare 2nd and good start to the season.

Not much you did wrong, but here are the replays  :)
You just need 7zip to unzip them ...

Q: Never got it quite right but managed 6th so not bad.

R1: Got a bit of a run down the inside of Mael to T4 but couldn't make it stick and came out slow, then watched 3 cars drive by. Settled in behind Wally.
About lap 3 Wally went off at T1. I kept on track, then saw Wally coming back on so I took to the sand on the inside of T2. I couldn't keep it tight enough to avoid a touch, which wasn't too bad, but then I couldn't pull it up for the next turn ... another 3 cars drive by  ::)
About lap 5 I came around the fast left hander before the hairpin and Jeremy was off track. He came back on and sat in the middle of the track so I tried to place myself around the outside of the hairpin. We touched, I went off, Jeremy spun, Jeremy disconnected ....
With a few laps to go, Wally and I were dragging down the straight, Wally slightly ahead, I thought I kept it tight on the inside but we touched and Wally had an off. Sorry Wally.
With 2 laps to go, realised I only had about 1.5 laps worth of fuel so had to back off massively and let Freezer and Wally past.
After all that was pretty happy with P9  ;D

R2: Started P12. At T4 AbleArcher and Simone had a bump which allowed me the chance to push up the outside of AbleArcher to T4 - my idea to make AA take a narrow line into T4 and I could do cross back to the inside, but AA kept moving across on me and pushed me off track. Not too bad, but as I was rejoining, Seanus tagged me (not his fault) sending me further off and I rejoined a distant last.
Gained some places with others misfortune as they went off  ;D Had some great racing with Rob until he made a mistake.
Eventually caught AbleArcher and had some great racing trying to pin a move on him, then he made a mistake and I was through  ;D Then I made a mistake and he was through  :(
Then AA had an off at the fast left hander before the hairpin so I tried to place myself on the outside of the hairpin. We never touched, but it was a bad place to be because I went off and watched 3 cars drive by  >:(

All in all, I had a great night  ;D ;D
