Assetto Corsa / Re: Power supply for G25/G27 - Where to find?
« on: March 18, 2016, 01:06:10 PM »
This seems to be the best option I've found so far

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/24V-NEW-AC-Adapter-For-Logitech-G25-G27-APD-DA-42H24-Power-Supply-Cord-Charger-/351111165624

If I can find something that would be quicker than 3-4 weeks I'd be much happier.

Yeah I've had a look and it doesn't look like they have anything that can do the 1.75A that this one does! (Well, they've got a 2.7A one, but it's like $60, which is in that "might as well buy a 2nd hand G27 area...)

Assetto Corsa / Power supply for G25/G27 - Where to find?

Anybody know where I can get a replacement power supply for my G25 (same as G27)?

I have a problem with mine. It started out that my G25 would turn itself off and back on whenever certain light switches in my house were turned on or off regardless of where I had it plugged in, and has now progressed to the point where it just does it randomly. Happened last night on the 2nd last lap of race 1, luckily I was lonely on the track at the time and it didn't cause issues for anybody else, but it ruined my chance of a 5th place finished.

I have a mate who recently bought a second hand G27 and he brought it around here for testing purposes and it didn't have any problems, so we swapped power supplies and then my one was fine and his started doing the same thing, so it seems the power supply is at fault.

Problem is, I can't seem to find a replacement unit for any kind of reasonable price in Australia (ie. they're expensive enough to make me consider just buying a second hand G27), or they're reasonably priced but overseas.

Personally I don't see any issues with either car FPS wise. But if it is causing issues for anybody then we should probably address that. As to what to do, I'm not really sure.

As much as I love the little Alfa, I think it's going to get absolutely munched. According to a little bit of testing I did, the Lancia is ~15 seconds faster around Bathurst...

EDIT: Disregard that, for some reason the game was choking for framerates when I ran that and seems to have messed big time with the lap times

Modena: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/autodromo-di-modena.5346/

If we're OK to go with the different cars then I reckon Gratulin's suggestion is a good one. The Alfa GTA and the Lancia Fulvia HF http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/lancia-fulvia-1-6-hf.9317/

Modena sounds like a good idea, I think the idea is that we stick to the same cars though. As it's a fun run maybe we do a couple of sprints rather than a long one, unless people would prefer more practice in longer races.

Haven't driven it yet, but this thing has been coming for a long time and looks to be a pretty high quality mod going by the thread about it on the official forums.

I'm starting to feel glad that I'm missing tonight's race, so much tension. Maybe we need Bernie Ecclestone to come in and clean this all up  ;D

If you go to about 80% clutch with the throttle pinned for the first few seconds after the lights go out, you can launch the Sierra just as fast as the other cars. Just takes a bit of practice.

I'm happy to stick with the Sierra, I think I'm getting used to it now :)
