Congratulations to Phil for taking out the season 27 championship.

Congratulations to Freezer on Pole and to Bacchulum for all three race wins and the overall round win. Phil's 3 third place finishes see him take out the championship by 37 points from Joe.

RACE 3 RESULTS
SEASON STANDINGS
SEASON STATS

Round Points
Bacchulum   75
Mael   66
Phil.8   60
buellersdayoff   54
killagorilla   53
Freezer   49
bradc   44
Joe   42

RussG   35
AbleArcher83   29
Wally   25
JamieP   19

Lap 1 Penalties

Race 1
There was an impact between Freezer and Brad which I think was a racing incident. A Mustang passed Freezer’s Abarth to the left; Freezer moved a little right to give the Mustang room but in doing so closed up the gap that Brad in his Nissan was making for at great speed.

Race 2
Russ ran into the back of Jamie who was braking with a Mustang in front of him – 10 second penalty.

Race 3
Freezer ran into the back of Rob – 10 second penalty.

Season Standings
1. Phil.8, 388
2. Joe, 351
3. Wally, 333 (third on countback of race wins from Freezer, also on 333 pts)

The final round... with Phil seemingly safe, 19 points in the lead from Joe in the season standings, and at a track that should suit Phil's beloved Mustang nicely.

3 x 9 laps, and the weather is cold again - 8, 10 and 10 degrees.

Nah, you're kidding...you mean 2:10 for the start-finish straight, huh? ;-)
I've done a 2:14 in the Mustang and was proud of myself...haha

I'll check. Sometimes if there's old OSRW pit mod stuff on the server, it causes checksums for people who don't have the mod, even if we're not using it.

Yep, that was it - server is restarted.

I will get belted on the home straight but there are a lot of tight corners!  and yes time is legit!!

Oh, that is a bit frustrating...haven't done many laps, but squeezing 4s out of the Mustang...doubt that'll be possible...for me at least. However, 2:10 seems to be a fantastic time. I could go for the Abarth as well, but haven't even considered it because of the long straight...will give it a go and see what I can do with it.

Well seeing that Wally dies not want to reduce the Ballast on the BMW I might go with the Nissan for this one. Always fun scaring a few fiat's on the start  :P

I'm going to give the Abarth a go this time, because I'm also getting a pretty good time out of it.

Last night was interesting we did a couple of test races. When Phil was ahead the abarth could catch him all through the lap and he would pull away again on the straight and repeat. I think if the abarths get ahead they'd probably stay ahead as they're that much quicker overall and should have enough of a gap at the straight. Though if they get stuck behind it could be frustrating. Curious how the Nissan would do in a race.

The Abarth will definitely require a clear run around the back to make sufficient gap to hold out on the straight.  It will definitely be behind at T1 I think so
should be interesting to try and come through in 9 laps.

Abarth would out qually the Mustang, but will it still be in front by T1 at the start.. unlikely unless going 3 Abarth's wide :D

I'm still undecided. I'm not sure I could handle the Mustang for a full race though. I do want to try running the Nissan close to the other two and see how it goes so may try that tonight if people are on the server.
