The biggest mover in the season standings is Phil, who dropped five places from 5th to 10th this round.

I need to re look at my strategy, I think I moved the wrong way

Race 1: Stayed out of trouble with a clean and consistent drive to the finish. Tried to block Jeremy a couple of times but my setup was just too slow down the finish straight.

Race 2: Disaster upon disaster. A good start to pass Wally into T1 but many mistakes from there on culminating with a destroyed front wing lap 3(ish). Made my way slowly to the pits for repair and from there on focused on irritating Kero as mush as possible. Sorry Kero someone had to suffer for my misfortunes  ;D

I'll miss next week due to school holidays so looks like a wally and phil battle for 2nd in the team standings.

Scrap that. Holiday delayed till the following week so will be there.

I had to lift to avoid a crash when I was gaining too fast on Russ through those fast esses, which put Simone off behind me making him spin off track.
Sorry Wally, I backed off a little because I was gaining on Mael and didn't wan't to hit the back of him and it wasn't a place to attempt a pass.

Race 1: Was cruising along nicely in a good position. Pitted at half distance for the tyre change. Came out on cold tyres and Jeremy caught up with me while I was warming them. I was protecting the line to make it hard for him to pass when he tapped me in the rear spinning me off. Had trouble turning around so lost a bundle of time. Pretty happy to recover to 10th.

Race 2: DISASTER!! Started OK. Had a slight tangle with grat. Then on lap 2 I was following Phil into the fast right hander when he went off. That was OK, but as I went around the turn Kcender was on the left of the track recovering from an off. I tried to hold it in tighter so I wouldn't hit him, but lost the rear and speared into the fence. It was a big enough hit to kill the engine. Then I made the mistake of escaping and EXITING instead of Back to Pits. Lost a lap, but rejoined. Forgot to load my setup so it was slow and a dog to drive for the rest of the race, but kept on and finished :)

Looking forward to the next one.

Not sure whom I hit, but that person was having a slow spin which cause me to hit them. If it was you Joe then you responsible for my broken nose cone, will be sending the bill.  ;D

No spin. I took you down the straight on about lap 3 and you tapped me from behind going into T1  :P

Ah no that was only a love tap  ;D  When I say a destroyed wing i mean a Maldonado-ated wing, left me with a undrivable car.

The contact into T1 was a bit of a misjudgement. I knew you were going to overtake so left enough space. Thought I'll let you by and turn in just behind your rear wing. Unfortunately you turned in a bit later than I expected so instead I steered straight into your rear wheel,

I am going to miss these cars. Interesting to hear others finding them so tough, I actually think they are quite a stable platform and the racing has been outstanding.  That said, I never take wing off  ::)

Race 1
Happy with qualifying, made a good start and settled in for a good race.  Got a love tap from Jeremy in T6, I was a bit slow in, dropping me back a few position. After that I was holding pace with the pack looking for a gap to pit into.  Every time I got close to someone they pitted so I kept circulating with a few seconds clear in front.  Pitted out of the lead as I caught the back of the field with Matthew just over a second behind.  Came out right behind Shayne with cold, fresh rubber - started to close in for the final few laps when I entered T4 0.78mm wide and the car jumped sideways then onto the curb then airborne into the opposite fence.  Damn, there goes 4th.. did the obligatory 8 point turn so as not to block the track, trundeled home to 9th.. 1 spot from pole for Race 2.  Missed opportunity.

Race 2
Started from 9th, always good in a reverse grid race ... decided to just try and hook onto the back of the fast guys and bluff my way pass... turned out to be a massively fun race.  The race results pretty much sum it up:
Code: [Select]
Hunted: ab156 (avg gap to car behind 1.23 secs)
Busiest: ab156 (avg total gap in front and behind 2.96 secs)
Spent the entire race locked in battle with various guys.  All a bit of a blur but a do recall some more clean, fair and hard racing with my new buddy Shayne.  In the last 3 rounds we have spend 10's of laps less than a second apart - always clean and tough racing.  I managed to use DRS on the straight to get a clean pass in this time - looking forward to the next battle!  In the early part of the race there were 5 guys locked in battle behind Matthew111, making places up as people fell off.  I got a bit wide in T3/4 after messing up onto the straight and getting passed by Shayne Kcender and Grat which dropped me back a bit. Closed back in as those 3 raced, unfortunately 2 went off at T3 the next lap so I was back in 4th.  After Wally went off I ended up in 3rd with damaged but faster Phil behind me for the last 3 laps, focused on exits (and maybe a few narrow entries  8) ) to hold him back, I think he got blocked by someone trying to get out of the way on the last lap which probably saved me.  Put so much pressure on Grat he went for a foul DRS so inherited 2nd - that's my version.  Bad luck to Joe and Grat but I was stocked to bring it home.

On to Donnington.

You've been getting consistently good results AB, as shown by your 5th place in  the standings.

All good Mael, you did some good defensive driving  ;)

Race 1

Probably could've qualified a bit better but wanted to focus on running my race setup. In saying that I was happy to qualify 3rd (I think). Made a clean start behind Mathew and just after turn 1 was trying to hold my line and think I slightly rubbed tyres with Grat. After that, cant remember what lap it was but made a mistake and made contact with a wall so I took the opportunity to pit and repair my car. I could go on but long story short, very happy to come in 2nd in the first race.

Race 2

Think from my position shortly after the start (with a bit of luck) I was in a good position to push for a win considering Mathew was a couple of places behind me, but as usual I got a bit excited got on the gas a bit early and put it into the wall. Made my way back to the pits repaired my car and then proceeded to chase Mael for the rest of the race, I could catch him but couldn't find my way past, then I would make a mistake trying to pass and the process would repeat ALL RACE  :P Well done Mael ;)

Anyway, I'm having a great time racing with you all, can't wait for the next race!

Was very happy to have a sweep for the night :) qual was intense being very close so was happy to top it off with a nice lap in the end.

Race 1 i didnt get a great launch so phil jumped me but then i saw he got a drs penalty so my plan was to just lap with him and not risk anything, was a great pressure race with some decent times being posted but after the pits i inherited the lead after phil got caught up with the lapped traffic. Cruised home and went for the fastest lap a few times to secure maximum points :)

Race 2 i felt like dan ric a bit with everyone in front of me making mistakes so i just gravitated to the lead lol and once again went for the fastest lap and cruised for the win
do you even motorsports?
