S35R2 - Brno
« on: October 21, 2020, 11:06:11 AM »
After taking out pole position, buellersdayoff went on to lead the utes race from start to finish, holding off a vigorous challenge from killagorilla, who set the fastest lap time of 2:24.910. Wally rounded out the podium with a race that could only be described as "the best of the rest". In the supercars race, buellersdayoff again lead for virtually the whole race, barring the pit window, finishing a full 18 seconds in front of his closest rival, Joe, who was followed by his team mate Phil in 3rd place.

Hey Wally downloaded the track from the link above and when checking the files in the archive I see

nearly all the text for the files is shown in blue and not black. Just wondering why? Haven't seen this

before. Some folders have a couple of small blue squares in the top right hand corner also.

Something to do with the reworked version maybe??  Cheers Dave O.
NEVER TOO OLD TO RACE ... being competitive can be a PROBLEM though.

Don't know haven't tried yet. Always a bit wary about installing when things like this happen. Dave O.

Thanks Seanus, I take it that the zip will still extract as usual then?

Not going to make tonight.
Possible storms.
That, and a 2 hour drive home from work used up all my seat time.

Congrats on this great qualy and race of yours, Bueller. I got closer and closer during the race...until I overdid it going onto the start-finish straight. Well, a bit of aero damage, but still ok to drive.
Fun racing these boats on wheels  ;)
Thanks

Thanks guys, fun racing, a bit of pressure there both races, I kept saying to myself don't f*#k it up. These cars are pretty cool, minimising slides goes a long way for lap times and also helped to make the ss tyres last only just long enough in the super car. Almost beat Wally's fastest lap a couple of times but made mistakes pushing too hard, had to back off because it was killing the tyres, well done.

I always liked this track and had some good results in the rFactor days. Took a few laps to relearn the layout but was feeling good for the races.
Race 1
Got a good start and made up a place but the dreaded framerate issues started when there was a few cars around which made it hard to get the exits right. managed to just lap around till the end and get ready for the next race.

Race 2
I had great fun in this race when I decided to use the supersoft for both stints. Had a few battles moving up through the field with some tight and fair racing. Chased down and eventually passed Wally before my pit stop when I lost it on the pit entry. It cost me some damage and about 40 seconds before rejoining after my stop. I didn't lke the V8's much in the first few drives but am slowly getting my head around it and quite enjoy them now.

Looks like I will finally update my graphics card thanks to a coming commission from a server sale/install so hopefully that will resolve some issues.

Bring on next week

Was so angry. Drove well throughout the supercars race to finally catch up with the AGK, Phill, Freezer on lap 14 only to loose concentration for a millisecond. Enough time for the car to park itself against the closest wall it could find ending any chance of a podium.  :(

Start was fun, got a few heart attacks as the rears lock under brakes behind Wally.

Not the start to a season that I’d hoped. Raced in the back half of the top 10 in the utes and had a couple of good scraps but absolutely bombed out in the Supercars. Started well on the opening lap and then once people’s tyres got temp people just drove around me at will as I simply had no pace.....sure using the soft tyre didn’t help but there is obviously something I’m missing which is required in the set up to find some pace because last night was curtainly not a true indicator of how I normally race.... :'(
