Jul 28 fun run: Lotus 2-11 at Vallelunga
« on: July 23, 2015, 10:14:49 PM »
2 x 11 lap races.

In the first race, everyone will be in the Lotus 2 Eleven.

For the second race, the slowest half of the field, going by race 1 qualifying, will take the Lotus 2 Eleven GT4, while the top half stays in the Lotus 2 Eleven. Keep an eye on where are you are in the qualifying order - it will be up to you to choose the correct car for the next race.

Again, the idea is to refine your season 8 car vote if you want to.

Would be funny if after the 3 test races everyone changes their vote to the Zonda.

Could happen... The abarths are a lot less popular an option now!

I know you're wondering... when you're behind a car, the GT4's have the longer, straight wing, and the normal 2 Eleven has a shorter, curved wing.

Well done to Guybrush holding the 2 Eleven WR, by quite a margin.

The GT4 is around 2 to 3 seconds quicker, but can be a little more sensitive, so it's worth the practice in that.

Race Results and Charts

Congratulations to Guybrush on the two race wins.

Some guys got faster in the GT4; some got slower - but I put that down to needing more practice in the GT4. On paper, and on the RSR rank, it's a faster car. My own PB at Vallelunga is better in the GT4.

I found the 2 Eleven good fun to drive. It responds well to throttle input, and moves around a bit. Race 1 was good fun with a protraced battle with Marty and Stan, but race 2 was spoiled by getting hooked up on a kerb early on and spinning off into a wall. I still had a good race chasing down Chap and Rob after that.
