Project Cars 2
« on: June 19, 2017, 11:36:53 AM »
I wasn't holding my breath for PC2, but ISRTV put out this video yesterday on their first impressions:

Quick summary: The reviewer didn't think much at all of the PC1 physics which seems a view shared with a lot of XGNers, but he says PC2 is totally different and feels very much improved, and that if all the cars are as good as the two he drove then it's going to be a popular sim. Fingers crossed....

Sounds really promising. I never played online with PC1 so no idea what multiplayer is like and Historic car list for PC2 is fairly limited :'(

yes, the physics being fixed plus the quality they had before, it should be a good package.
The only things that would worry me are, having to upgrade my PC and the cars are the same cars available in AC, and with no one modding the chances of older cars are minimal :(

On a pad it's playable, at least – something which I don't think could really be said of the original on its default settings – though it struggles to communicate what the car's doing, which results in a slightly detached, overly loose feel to the handling. It's a significant improvement, though it's not best-in-class. On a half-decent wheel it's a different story, of course, and with a good set-up the cars do a lot more talking. There's still not quite enough weight there to trouble the likes of Assetto Corsa or iRacing – in my opinion, at least – and so Project Cars 2's rides end up enjoyable but never quite excellent.

Strange, just double checked, clicked on the PC2store page and still says 17% 49.79USD, - 11% for deluxe too

Do you own the first one? Maybe giving a discount to people that do. Shows 59.99USD for me
