I think your CPU will show up as being slow. This will test all your hardware and should give us a pointer to where the problem is. « Last Edit: November 29, 2019, 07:16:29 AM by rooshooter » Logged social media is the tobacco of this century rooshooter RestrictedRacing Hero Member Posts: 2881 Karma: 52 Re: Bacchulum's PC Fixed « Reply #1 on: November 28, 2019, 12:11:17 PM » Posted by AGK in the other thread.Quote from: Bacchulum on Today at 08:41:28 AM Could be close. But the SSD is slow, the HDD is slow, and there was the CPU overheating issue. All 3 failing simultaneously, or the bit they're all connected to?Are you running both SSD and a traditional HDD together?A connected failing drive can cause a slow boot even if it's not the boot drive. If possible, try booting SSD-only with the HDD not connected?Something like CrystalDiskInfo can be used to view disk drive information to see reported errors. « Last Edit: November 28, 2019, 12:18:14 PM by rooshooter » Logged social media is the tobacco of this century rooshooter RestrictedRacing Hero Member Posts: 2881 Karma: 52 Re: Bacchulum's PC Fixed « Reply #2 on: November 28, 2019, 12:40:21 PM » Top suggestion from AGK ,try it first Bacchulum.A connected failing drive can cause a slow boot even if it's not the boot drive. Hopefully you have found the problem and well on the way back to the race track. I'm pretty sure Windows will only install on a blank drive (it will at least wipe the drive). Others can confirm for sure. I think SSD failure is rare, anyone here have one fail? MTBF — MTBF (mean time between failures) is a measure of how reliable a hardware product or component is over its expected lifetime. For most components, the measure is typically in thousands or even tens of thousands of hours between failures. For example, a hard disk drive may have a mean time between failures of 300,000 hours, while an SSD might have 1.5 million hours. « Last Edit: December 09, 2019, 06:40:07 AM by rooshooter » Logged social media is the tobacco of this century Print Pages: 1 « previous next » Xtreme Gaming Network / General Category / Hardware & Reviews / Bacchulum's PC Fixed ?
