This is a suggestion only, because it was used previously doesn't mean it should be adopted,  okay?
Sprint/race one times dictate sprint/race 2 time handicap.
Quick bit of arithmetic, ie last in race one by 35 seconds = scratch makers time... 2nd's 30 second gap to winner =...  Until the last from race 1 goes on the flag drop.  Good chance the field will be grouped on the last lap.
Sorry for the overall description.
Phil, what I could do with the PLP app is put a big timer in it that counts up from race start. Then you could tell people how many seconds they have to wait before they go. Near enough would be good enough i.e. if someone goes at 20 seconds +/- a couple of seconds on a quick eyeball of the timer, then that would be good enough.

I would like to try that thanks Wally if its possible and others are keen to give it a go

I think people at this point are confused enough between whether the race is a rolling start or a grid start.. if anything is to be implemented something automated would work smoother.

The first race I entered it was made clear it was a rolling start, but 5-7 cars passed me before the 2nd corner while I was just keeping up with the car in front of me.. was quite frustrating.

That's happened to me also when we haven't pw'ed the server, when people aren't on TS, really.
If we do a second, reverse grid, rolling start race, we absolutely need it pw'ed. ;)

Dont know why they would be, we grid start endurance , grid start first race of a sprint round and reverse rolling start on the second race, never been any problems till lately for some reason

It was at Donnington..  I dont know if they weren't on teamspeak or just weren't listening to the numerous repeats that it was a rolling start. I think rolling starts are great if it is app controlled.  But anything that has to have voice communication seems to cause a mess.

That race has multiple restarts for other reasons, and someone complained twice that it was a rolling start and why were people overtaking, but it wasnt a rolling start.

The verbal rolling starts work fine, and it's part of the fun of Thursdays when we all try to work out where we're meant to be in a reverse grid, rolling start :)

Here's the proper link if it makes it easier: http://52.65.162.16:50041/sessiondetails?sessionid=9735#

I think Phil accidentally pasted the link to the admin version of the page :)
