definitely MAels fault :P

its super interesting to see everyone's replays etc. It does go to show that what you see / experience isn't replicated across everyone.

As for my lag - hopefully that will be fixed with NBN coming next month (assuming it doesn't get pushed again) so hopefully that will fix it.

I see on your video how i did jump right, i just looked at my video and i was just turning in so I'm not sure if my lag "jumped" me in there.  Happy for it to be racing incident - no stress for me :) but its informative to see everyone's view that's for sure.

For anyone interested in a quick edit I put together of the action I saw from last place :P

Freezer - super interesting to see that this is how close you saw yourself from top down.  Check the video and you can see 1:39 wheel straight, 1:40 turn in and helicorsa has your nose aligned to my tail and then 1:41 the gap was gone, and within the next second we came together and helicorsa still has you no more than 1/2 way up the car.

don't use the youtube button in the forums - makes the link invalid >.<

That was some spectacular crash, and the video in VR looks great.

I do love my VR its great.  what you see there isn't a very accurate reflection though of what its like inside it.  When in VR, you computer displays a single eye version which is essentially a 2d version without depth.  same as normal gaming I guess.

what you don't really appreciate I guess until you get your head in one, is how little head movements become natural and while triple screening is great - if I raise or lower my head, my whole perception changes and same with turning.   it just feels very natural.

That being said, I'm on an oculus rift s, and the graphics that are outputted to monitors are far better than what is inside the headset.  headsets just don't have the resolution or clarity yet.  However, you very quickly get over that and suffer the lesser res/quality for greater immersion.

i was able to see my own stats but couldnt blunder my way through comparing - anytips? or links to tutorials on how to use it? i can only see myself on there

alright time to learn how to use ptracker i think :P i have it there but no idea on how to use it.

i find that i can do it flat out but i really have to get the entry correct.  If i get it early (normally) i need to back out... if i get it right its flat stick :)

great track - struggling at the 1:38 mark. that last corner is a doozy!

I have no idea when it comes to setups but what I did notice is that the mediums couldn’t last 3 quick laps last night and by my quick I mean, I’m deep into the 56’s so its going to be hard tyres for the race....
Yeah, it'll be hards for most, I reckon.
100%.
i wasnt able to get any real life out of softs.
the mediums were ok but had a very small grip life.
hards are ok but just a bitch to get warm :P

man im finding it tough to get a solid setup around this track.  even default is feeling rough.  anyone got one they want to share? :D
This is for the Supercup, by the way. Freezer and Rob might be able to give some setup advice.
can only manage to get to a 2:15 on a perfect lap :P
ahh well :) tomorrows going to be fun

Penalties
Race 1
A caution for Dave Reid – unsafe track re-entry at the hairpin that caused some impacts. It’s a caution only because no car was seriously disadvantaged, although Dave was himself.

haha fair enough too :) i thought it may have been a little too close. I must admit i did look right to see if i could make it back on and well - i did.... but may have called it a little too fine :)
