AC Legends Pack - IMSA GT Classics
« on: July 28, 2017, 06:23:33 PM »
This is a mod Tim and I have been using off and on and we have a bunch of fun in these cars. They're all quite equal to each other (some are faster on straights but slow in corners and vice versa) and would make for an awesome series to run in the future.

They also have the added bonus of sounding awesome (a mix that should make a fan of Japanese, American and European classic GTs). Physics, sound and models are all of very high quality.

Recommend people try it out and see for themselves though.

Looks pretty cool. Especially the Porsche that says "Wallys Jeans" on the back  8)

Hi Skillet downloaded and tried the mod, and I really like it. Would be good fun in a season I reckon :)

Tried all the cars but the brakes on the 69 Corvette don't work for me... all the other cars are fine, just

wondering if you have this problem also? Brakes seem like they work whilst in the gravel but not on the track :-\

I also get some some light vertical shadows on the Capris windscreen whilst driving into the sun. This disappears

when you change direction. If anyone else has tried the mod would be interested if you've had the same problem.  Cheers Dave O.

Been doing some races with the AI, excellent  ;D found another small problem.. no interior mirror in the Pantera. :(

not real good as it has no side mirrors. Loving the mod though.  :) Dave O.

@Dave O

Haven't had issues with the Capri in my few laps I've done on it.

Tim has driven the Corvettes more than I have but he didn't really have complaints on them - maybe difference in hardware you're using?

On the Facebook page for the mod another guy mentioned the Capri windshield problem with his triple screens, so it looks like it's not my VR.

Can't find anything on the 69 Vette 's brake issue though.  :-\  Don't think it's a hardware problem as all the other cars and the 65 Vette are fine.

ACs pedal overlay shows no problems and brakelights on car work, got me beat, reckon it might just be something in one of the files  ::)  Cheers Skillet  Dave O.

Will make for interesting braking in the big Vette at the end of the long straights and the more nimble slipping up the inside

Another AC Legends pack, prototypes pack 1:

http://f1classic.your-talk.com/t19396-released-2017-11-19-ac-legends-prototypes-part-1

A good mix of Le Mans and Can-Am cars (including a Chaparral ;D ).
I know you need to be a member to d/l from F1 Classics but I'm not confident in the protocols for directly linking to and/or sharing another's work. :-X :-[

AC Legends Update to 2.0, I do not know what it adds that Seanus has not already done.

Thanks to lots of help from the AC modding community we were able to create another extensive update for the AC Legends GT mod. Although every car has completely different handling, balance and character, the power to weight ratio’s is pretty equal, resulting in close laptimes and –racing.

- Small Block Hero (models, textures)
- DrDoomslab (models, rescaling, textures/ AO and all the little details)
- Mac Ten (models, textures)
- Bazza (physics)

Thanks to DrDoomslab we were able to do a full restauration of the models and really make them shine. All scaling is now properly done, as are driver animations/positions.

In addition to that, we polished the physics (updated suspensions for all cars with live rear axles and
a rebuilt for the BMW CSL (now fitted with proper rear semi trailing arm suspension). All cars received higher damper rates and a bit sharper tires with more lateral grip, resulting in more racey behaviour. Besides that, the Ferrari 365 got a complete visual make over from Mac Ten. New sounds for the BMW, Capri, Ferrari and Nissan.
All models got better aerodynamic balance for even better close online (leauge) racing. Most cars now can lap within 0.5 sec, depending on track conditions.

Changelog:
- All cars have improved tires with more lateral grip and raised damper rates for more stability.
- All driver positions are fixed.
- All models have been polished + AO maps. All scaling issues are solved.
- Extensive make over of the Ferrari 365GTB by Mac Ten.

Physics:
- 911 RSR: adjusted roll centers, engine +15hp and 10Nm
- BMW CSL: new sounds, rebuilt suspension (rear semi trailing arms) and tweaked aero
- Ford Capri: new sounds, rebuilt suspension (improved rear live axle)
- Corvette 67: rebuilt suspension (improved rear live axle)
- Corvette 69: rebuilt suspension (improved rear live axle)
- Ferrari 365: adjusted roll centers
- Nissan GTR: new sounds, adjusted roll centers, improved aero
- Pantera: adjusted roll centers and improved aero.
- Porsche 906: adjusted roll centers.
- Daytona: only better tires.
