Flattop,

Just got home and tested out the Aosta Wet track config. It looks good but isn't really a "wet track". Really only suitable for playing with offline. Anyone who drove NetKar in the rain would be seriously underwelmed...

let's stick to Westwood.

FYI:
Quote
Canada's first purpose-built permanent road course
Westwood Motorsport Park
located in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada

Westwood Motorsport Park (or Westwood Racing Circuit) was a 1.8 miles (2.90 km) 8-turn road racing circuit located in Coquitlam, British Columbia on the southern slopes of Eagle Mountain (known locally as Eagle Ridge). The track was built and operated by the Sports Car Club of British Columbia (SCCBC). Construction of Westwood began in 1957, and the first race was held on July 26th, 1959, making it the first purpose-built permanent road course in Canada.

Westwood hosted many different professional race series over the years, including long stints with the Formula Atlantic Series, Trans-Am Series, and Player's GM Challenge Series. Champion drivers to have raced professionally at Westwood include Formula 1 World Champion Keke Rosberg, Indianapolis 500 winners Bobby Rahal and Danny Sullivan, as well as other famous names including Gilles Villeneuve and Michael Andretti.

The December 12th, 1988 episode of MacGyver, titled Collision Course, was primarily filmed at Westwood (where it was referred to as the Westwood Springs Race Course). The Player's GM Challenge Series served as the backdrop of the story.

The track, which was located on leased provincial crown land, eventually fell victim to urban development. The track finally closed in 1990 to make way for the Westwood Plateau housing development and a pair of golf courses.

Note:
=====
Bradley Graham Gibson was killed instantly in 1982 when his Formula Ford car hit a deer at Deer's Leap during a race driving school class.
In 1983 Steve Phillips was fatally injured when his Formula Ford hit a deer as he crested Deer's Leap. In consequence of these crashes deer warning lights were then installed at the top of Deer's Leap. These lights debuted on the 14 and 15 May 1983 race weekend.

Just think of them sometime when you blast over Deer's Leep...

Bit of mix up front for the 3 races last night.
Lets hope Ley Ying Lo comes back for some more permanent racing... I noticed he had a ping of ~70.

Lap stats are here.

Happy to find my best lap was only 2 seconds behind, it is just consistency at speed that lets me donwn.
Enjoyed most of it, did set a PB on a hot lap by myself...
I have the server up with Mosport, I can't see the server, not sure what the max pit spots are, but have put it at 14.
See you next week at Mosport, maybe a different car though, something a little slower :)

It was a really good combo. Gratulin was my "racing buddy” most of the night, with not much between us (literally, most of the time).

Wally was kind enough to miss a gear in the 2nd race and let me through :) Also, we had Guybrush under so much pressure he had to slow down and let us past just so he could entertain himself by ramming into the back of me :)

Yes, a very enjoyable combo actually.

Sorry for the tap Gratulin.  I braked a lot earlier than I normally do and still had to try to swerve to miss you, but just managed to give you a tap.  At least it didn't put you off.  Unfortunately I went in the back of you and then Wally went in the back of me which sent Wally off.  Wally must have been able to brake normally at a similar point as me.

Not a problem. I was quite pleased that I created havoc behind me ;)

As a matter of interest I didn't think I was braking very early on that corner and I didn't seem to lose time through that corner to either yourself or Wally. If I braked later I risked not making the corner. I was taking an earlier apex than either you or Wally however. I don't drive as 'oversteery' as you guys though.

not sure what the max pit spots are, but have put it at 14.

To see max grid spots go to single player then select the track, it will show the max grid spots at the track in the little track image.

Some mod tracks may have bad spawn points too so best to also load an sp race with max number of cars start last and check all cars are on grid. Then go back to pit and make sure the last spot is spawned in the pits. Not many tracks have issues but there are some early wip tracks I have seen that may say 20 spots yet only 1 grid/pit spot.

Id check for you but wont be home til tomorrow.
