Nov 6 - IMSA GT practice round at Spa

We'll have 3 x 9 lap sprints at Spa, so you can jump in and out of a few different cars just to try them out, before the season starts the following week, on the 13th.

That's a good thing. Will be very interesting to see how they compete in a race. As much as I like the short tail, being approx 30-40k's slower than the C9 on the long straight is definitely not a good thing...that's where overtaking usually happens, isn't it? I've got the rear wing on zero and do Eau Rouge full throttle...that's all I can do...hm, maybe taking the rear wing off completely is a solution ;-)
See if you really can overtake in the curvy bits of the track.
So my focus is on the Mazda now...not the fastest either, but handles quite well I find.

Get all your practice on in the early session. There will just be a minimal qually between races.

What time are we starting tonight?
1st qually is at 9:15pm Eastern DST.

I might make the races 7 laps with 10 min quallys so the night doesn't go too long.

Now you're confusing me... is DST daylight savings and so it's going to be at 9:15pm in Sydney?

what a nasty night that was....I was very late getting into practice meaning I was stick in the dunce's Sauber. What a horrible race car! It really should be named the widow maker as it only seemed to be happy when you were going backwards into a fence! In race one, I got punted off on the exit of turn 1, lap 1 by a Mazda. Race two, spun myself off on the carpet before the entrance of Pouhon on lap 1. Race 3, I seemed to snare a spare Mazda and it was a lot nicer. Had some little duels until another mistake took myself off...

The Merc is going to be hard to beat if in the hands of anyone with skill/setup/patience (or a mixture).

Should be a fun series
