Teamspeak question
« on: June 28, 2014, 04:23:42 PM »
Hi All,

I would think it's possible but my google-fu is failing me... I want to get something that sits in one ear so I can talk and listen to ppl on teamspeak, but I want the glory of the racing to come out on my external speaker setup...

Currently I have my mic as being a webcam, so I can't really talk whilst driving or u all just hear my car  :P

Does anyone run the set up I want to have? If so what do you use?

Usb headset and mic?
Bluetooth?

Thanks heaps!!  ;D

Buy cheap headset, in windows select headset as default communication device, job done.

External speakers will play game sounds, Teamspeak will use headset.

Wont we still hear his car as he is speaking, (from the speakers back thru the mic.)?

You should adjust how much your mic picks up in control panel, also the better the headset, the better the mic, a good mic wont pick up a lot of surround noise. All comes down to trail and error. I used to run this sort of set up.

I'm looking for the exact same thing. Someone mentioned one on Tuesday night but I can't remember who or what.

A lot of the turtle beach headsets have independent volume controls. You use this by assigning chat to the new sound device the headset has. You then have separate volumes for chat and game.

Look on MSY.com.au for a creative headset for around $14. Plugs into headphone+microphone socket either in front or in back of your PC ( green and pink ports). Unless I sound horrible on TS that is :)

I'm using a Logitech desk Mic. I might not have my sound up as loud as you. Also some noise canceling on

It might not be what the cool kids are using but I get about 4 horse power out of them, maybe more in echo mode..

I just accidentally bought 4 of these shirt clip-on mics:

They seem like an alright and cheap solution.  If I get 4 and they are small enough I might be able to just post one to you Rolz.

Use all of them Guybrush! put them at various distances away for even better echo.
