Christmas Cobra Fun Runs
« on: December 12, 2018, 09:36:01 PM »
Its been a few days over 12 month sine we lost Bruce. I only knew him in game but he has left a huge impression on me and I think about him often, he was truly a top bloke.
Anyway I will be running his favourite car in a series of fun runs until into the new year.

I am borrowing a quote from seanus in reference to will we run his Cobra mod or the Kunos Cobra, "Bit of both, good to run Kunos only, to encourage others to join, but also use mine for some rounds as I'm well needy."  8) :o ;D

Here is a link to the Seanus mod for when its needed (right click on The cobra and nothing but the cobra and select download)

Hard to believe it's already been 12 months. I think about him often too.

A larger than life character that had such a positive effect on all of us, the nicest bloke I never got to meet.

He was always positive and cheerful - that's what I remember the most about him.

Bruce and Pat. Both of them missed, but not forgotten.

I was lucky enough to have raced with, and against two of the nicest blokes that ever sat behind a virtual steering wheel.

Miss you guys.

I am not sure if I will make it,  I hope to though as its fun combo I think from the few laps I did, which had a good turn out of randoms

I will not make it tonight sadly, but I think there could be some randoms jump on to make it interesting! It has been a very popular combo for people to try their skills.

Sorry for the early drop out.
My PC rebooted to a motherboard/BIOS screen saying I had a CPU overheat. :o
Didn't know how to fix that, so I just turned it off and let it cool down.
Hopefully this isn't an on going issue. :'(

Just check that your Fan/CPU cooler is not blocked with dust.

Yep, clean out the dust if any, repaste the heat sink if it hasn't been done in a while...assuming all fans are working

There was a few good racers, had a bit of fun but kept losing the car usually near the end of each race lol

I’m just reading this and am rather sad to see that we’d lost our old mate. I must admit I was wondering where he was recently as I was not aware of his passing. I often raced against Bruce for several years during the rfactor days but when we moved over to A/C and I was having issues with calibrating my old Hyperstimulator to the game I tended to always end up on the track somewhere near him. Whilst he was never the fastest you’d always hear a polite, happy person who was just out there for the love of the race.

Shit. >:(
A week off work and I totally forgot what day it was.
Only joining the server for a "drunk" session and I saw the track had changed made me realise. :-[
Sorry guys. :'(
