Hey Bruce, a bit of American V8 muscle comes to AC.

I hope its good. I have driven one of these a fair bit. I wish someone would make a 1970 dodge phoenix with a fireball 318. I had one. It was limited edition, 399 of 400 its little plaque said. I stupidly sold it when younger :(

We raced this puppy last Friday over at ARSE.
Overall I was a bit disappointed, I know it's a WIP and I shouldn't judge it too heavily yet.
Maybe I had too high hopes (I love Sandrox's work, especially when he used to work with GPfan!!) but it did feel underpowered and the huge gap between 3rd and 4th is annoying. I think it will be better when tweaked a bit more... :D

I reckon the gap between 3rd and 4th is realistic 8) it's not a gt3 :D ::)

It's not just me that thinks it feel odd.
Here is a patch for the mod. On either side of the patch post, I agree with what Lilski says, the ratios seem correct but it still feels odd.

Maybe it's not the ratio's fault but the lack of torque which makes it more noticable.
:P

If they model it on an M20, there is quite gap from 3rd to 4th : 2.52 / 1.88 / 1.46 / 1.00
the M21 was also available around that time and they were a little closer: 2.20 / 1.64 / 1.28 / 1.00
I haven't driven them, but there will be a quantum difference from all the cars we have seen so far that are "good". Maybe if they did a VERY good job on the modding, it may be even harder to "love". I'm game though.
And we have some first hand knowledge from Phil, hmmm nice history of vehicle ownership.
Lets hope they match up to another 'niche car' and create some diverse, steering wheel spinning fun racing...

The one I drive sometimes is a 2 speed auto

Ha ha!! imagine that, 2 gears :D
They mentioned that in that thread.
"Otherwise the car should only have 3 gears (or even 2) if it were to keep the auto shift handle"
Crazy talk!! but Phil is living proof :P
