Sorry didn't make it tonight Wally... was in server and teamspeak ready to go but my pedals weren't registering so exited to check why.
While I was out bloody internet went down couldn't believe it. Had a massive update for windows 10 today and I reckon it did something with the Fanatec drivers, wheel & pedals weren't showing up on the controller screen. Internet came back up about 40 mins later so downloaded latest drivers and firmware from Fanatec reinstalled and looks like it might have fixed things. Wasn't in time to race though. Thanks for another good season Wally Dave O. 243

Sorry to Doobs & Seanus for the incident in race 2. I was up in the air spiralling and came down nose first into the grass by the fence.
Didn't even realise I'd landed on another car. Continued on with a damaged car, which wasn't too bad to drive considering my flying lesson, and actually made it up 7th then got taken out by another car's spin. Not so lucky with damage this time... 2nd last Good night though, had some good battles. Zandvoort should be interesting in these. 246
Hardware & Reviews / Re: Poor man's VR« on: June 16, 2017, 08:59:44 PM »
Yes Joe the distance does get a bit blurry on the Vive. Compared to a normal monitor nowhere near as clear & crisp, but it's
still pretty respectable, and the immersion factor is something else. I couldn't go back to triples unless I had to. Dave O. 247

Sorry about the coming together in race 1 Freezer didn't do either of us any good. I tried to leave enough room but
that corner tends to take you wide. I'm running in VR and unfortunately virtual mirror and name tags won't show in VR so until your post I wasn't even sure who I'd tangled with. Dave O. 248

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Classic Lotus Fun Run - May 16« on: May 11, 2017, 12:55:44 AM »Did a couple laps, track I dont think is ready for a main series run for a fun run? wont tell you much about the cars. Visually its not horrible but those low poly bumps all over the track surface are so annoying I will give this round a miss. The bumps do make it interesting, and a bit of a challenge, but I actually really enjoy this track. Great atmosphere and sense of speed. With the accent on fun run it could be a great candidate. Keeps you on your toes. Dave O. 250
Mod Cars / Re: 2017 F1 Mod« on: May 03, 2017, 02:47:38 PM »
Be interested to hear how you find it if you download Freezer. I really like the physics & force feedback.
Seems reasonably easy to drive, but can definitely bite you if you overstep the limits. I'm still trying to come to grips with handling the ERS side of it too many buttons lol. Dave O. 251
Mod Cars / 2017 F1 Mod« on: April 29, 2017, 11:43:26 PM »
Just wondering if anyone else here has tried the Formula Hybrid 2017 mod from RaceSimStudio for Assetto Corsa?
I've been keeping an eye on it for a little while, and it's had some great reviews, so purchased it a couple of days ago and have to say it's probably one of the best mods I've driven in AC. If your into F1 it's definitely worth giving it a go. There is a 2017 skin pack for it on Race Dept. Cost me roughly $6 au to purchase the mod and it's the best $6 bucks I've ever spent. More info here http://racesimstudio.com/ Off to do some more laps with it Cheers Dave O. 252

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S16R2: Barcelona GP Race Chat« on: March 20, 2017, 06:10:57 PM »I notice the bumps from about T3 - T7. It takes a few laps to get accustomed every time I get in there. Your call no editing required, just a tick in the box, thought it might be worth a try 255
