Title: REAL TRACK - Sentul International Circuit - Rating
Post by: Gratulin on October 29, 2014, 03:59:43 PM
Built from scratch by Harry Muhammad who also built Lippo Village Street Circuit.

Sentul International Circuit is a permanent motor racing circuit located in Babakan Madang, Bogor, Indonesia. The current circuit, shortened by 40 percent compared to the original design, is predominantly used for motorcycle racing and the Asian F3 series. Sentul is a relatively simple, smooth, broad track with large runoff areas, enabling non-bumpy and smooth driving at racing speeds.

This track grows on you. Due to it's fast wide layout I reckon it would produce some really good racing.

Vote:
2=(you like the layout)AND(no technical problems)
3=(you don't like layout)OR(there are technical problems)
4=(you don't like layout)AND(there are technical problems)

I just went for a test lap in the Cobra.
 my windscreen was cracked before the 1st corner after 3-4 bumps. and the scraping of metal was constant. By the time i finished the 1st lap my car was broken. I didn't come off once. I tried different car set-ups with little difference. Car cops huge front end damage at the corner 1. even below 70kmh.....
 Not sure if it was me or Marty that is causing it...

Strange that Dick I never had such issues, where you running into AI by any chance and your usual track awareness levels meant you didnt see any of them out there. I will need to try again using the cobra but I ran a few cars there with no issues at all.

The first virgin had big bumps but that was tidied up in later releases.

For me this track is really good.   It just needs some better looking curbs and track side objects and it would be a winner.

Not sure how your testing the tracks or if I want to know and also how you made it bleed to know such info.  ;D

Excellent track. It has some great corners leading onto the straights that need good lines to ensure fast times.
Only thing I found was that the curbs seemed to be very slippery which given their width makes them too enticing.
Also it's quite flat (think Silverstone) but then I suspect the real thing was also.
