Wow... what happened with Rolz? I don't want to create any drama, but not being there I am kind of curious of figuring out what happened... After all, he is the cofounder of my team.

WOW what a race night. Hard to get to sleep after that sweat pouring, heart pumping action lol. Racing is what it is about and mid pack is where its at.
R1 two words DIE_HARD, or maybe Die Harder sums it up. I just couldn't get past him, I tried out braking, I tried switch back, I tried everything to get past even stuck my nose up the inside a couple of times. He wouldn't give up the spot and kept closing the door, I could have easily ended our race had I been too desperate for another position (I think that's where sim racing kinda falls short, no REAL consequence). BUT pure heart pumpin' action it was since I had doobs smoking my tail pipe the whole time. AWESOME!
R2 Just like the first race, mid field. Started 8TH and quickly fell back while aboard the two wide 9000rpm freight train through the first few corners. Managed to gain a few spots back. Right on Matts' tail I could see him sliding around a bit so patiently waiting for my opportunity. Then it knocked, He ran a little wide at turn 1, I pounced, we both locked up. Door panels came together, paint traded and we carried on. He still had the position and the only time lost was from our lock up. Couple more laps and I got past, only to run wide on the last turn and get a wheel out on the grass. Almost spun and surprised I never took anyone out. There goes those spots I'd pushed hard to get, sweat is now pouring. Start the fight all over, but here comes Russ in the rear view, I let him through thinking if I can stay close I can follow him back through the pack...no chance, he's gone. Managed to gain a few spots back on my own. Lap 29 (I think) OUT OF FUEL! The fuel estimator said 35l was enough, I heard you guys say 45? thought I just heard wrong and went with what the game suggested. Race 2 report says three contacts, I only felt the one with Matthew111 so the other two must be indicative of just how close and exhilarating the racing was for me. Can't wait to do it again.
Big thanks to Wally and Phil for letting me join in.
Honourable mentions for the thrill of racing and keeping it clean, Diehard (with a vengeance lol) Doobs, Matthew111, Freezer, slow_as just to name a few.
I've put a little effort into this write up to remind everyone what racing is REALLY about (for those that are ready to quit) and not just winning at all costs (for those that may have caused some big offs)
 :) Peace, Bueller

I'm not sure. Racing around me was hard but fair. 27 cars on a relatively short, twisty track...

Was thinking the same last night.  Lots of cars in close proximity but very little tears . . . so well done to all!

As for my racing.  I chased slow As quite a bit last night but couldn't quite make an impact on him.  Race one ended up being fairly quite.  But for much of race two i had Jeremy hounding me so the pressure was on for a long time until he had an incident.  I got to lap 30 then suddenly black screens . . . . aah!  But then two seconds later they came back.  I had held the brake and only ended up glancing a wall and was able to push on so very lucky.  Will be hard pressed next week with the high restrictor so might need to do more practice . . :(

.....  Race one ended up being fairly quite.....

No surprise you were the loneliest driver in race one? Quite unusual to finish in the top 10 and be the loneliest of the race  :P

As for Jeremy he caught and easily passed me on the last lap during race 2, next time hold him up for a bit longer please (team order ;D).

Jeremy and i struggled to get our cars working around here and the big restrictor didnt help lol, is anybody else having trouble getting these car to rev match correctly under brakes? it seems to match and then slip away killing engine braking and then putting the car into limbo until i get on the power again making it jump as it engages drive, makes it tricky under brakes and through the mid turn. Are people using auto clutch or something that corrects that issue?

qual: felt i got the most out of the car and was happy with my time but only was good enough for 10th lol was a competitive field!

Race1: Was busy going into t1 in the mid pack but survived it fine until lap 2 where someone had a moment at the hairpin entry which caught me out as he spun back on the circuit so i ended up spinning trying to avoid him amd that put me back to 15th where i stayed as it was very hard to pass especially when you dont have the power to get a run on people lol

race2: Started even further back this time with jeremy i think it was 17 and 18th for us as the pace struggles continued lol, again a nice clean start managing to make a few spots got up to about 13th and had some really good battles with a few people around this spot for the first half of the race, as the tyres wore out i couldnt hold off russ and bueller anymore as they were able to get close to me down the straights making me defend the final turn hampering me for the rest of the lap so eventually they got me with a few nice side by side passeges so was fun :) and then i was alone till the end lol

Good to see a big competitive field with some new racers around hopefully struggle street can get back to the front next round with some setup work and a smaller restrictor :)
do you even motorsports?

Another great nights racing and entertainment.. just lacking the results.

Qualified at about the pace expected, surprised to be in 4th.

R1: Made a good start, kept it clean for the first few corners with everyone staying pretty calm.  Was pretty much stuck to Fozzy for 10 laps just waiting him to finally miss T1 - which never happened.  Lap after lap the entry was wild, inducing massive oversteer yet lap after lap, smoke puff after smoke puff he hit the apex and gapped me not the exit.  Fun to watch but a bit annoying. After lessons learnt from previous races I dropped back a bit to try and drop in a good lap time for R2 qual.  Was under pressure from Phil and Kcender for most of the run, finally overcooked the exit of the corner on the back straight, could have tried to close the inside lane down, decided to take the safe option so lost 2 spots.

R2: My R1 lap gave me 4th on he grid again.  Start to this race was a bit more "robust", ended up getting a bit sideways under the bridge dropping a few spots trying to give racing room.  Lap 2 was a disaster, coming onto the back straight there was a pack of cars, saw a familiar car fishtailing over the track - I was sure my teammate lacked the talent or luck to save the car so went for the gap - only for RussG to save the car resulting in me getting him by about an inch which somehow locked our cars together as be slid down the barrier.... AWE...SOME...  Recovered with a severely damaged car, locking into a battle Royale for 20th or something.  After many, many laps behind Shameless with some pretty strong defence he locked up into 1 and went wide.  I went up the inside confident I had the corner only for Shameless to take the "late" apex.  In the moment I was confident in my defence, after watching the replay I would say I was at fault - tricky corner, tricky situation.  Race up to Diehard and Wally - having  some good racing with Diehard including a few clean passes, ultimately I lost out.

Amazing that we all made it around such a tight track with limited rage.  I do apologise for the contact with Shameless - all I will say is that if I was supposed to redress that then there a few people who owe me a free pass for past transgressions 😏

I'm out - being crippled to the extent I was has sapped any enjoyment out of it... one of the reserves can take my place

I know it sucks getting stuck behind the slow Truli train, however, racing is a game of chess. Work out your strengths and your opponents weaknesses and use them to your own advantage. I know I was a lot slower than you, however I wasn't moving over and waving the white flag. Whilst I know this is a wasted post now that you've left, however at least you've not expirence the pleasure and joy of being punted out of the race to the rear of the field for two weeks in a row!

Here you can see Freezer was in a little "Freezer bubble".

Don't worry Freezer, with a little more restrictor you'll be back in the pack ;)

Ah yeah . . . just ran a few laps and this next track is all about flowing speed so not a good week for the restrictor!!  4 Sec per lap behind Bacchulum so far.

Hey lads, anybody save the replay from race 2 at Tsukuba? I neglected to save it and would be interested to have a little looksee?

What's the best way to get it transferred?

Cheers,

Hey lads, anybody save the replay from race 2 at Tsukuba?

Here are the replays ...
Race 1: http://www.mediafire.com/file/db63a0jfr7g5ndx/AC_150817-210508_R_ks_ford_escort_mk1_tsukuba_circuit_full_osrw.7z
Race 2: http://www.mediafire.com/file/xn10vuio0huvi82/AC_150817-215627_R_ks_ford_escort_mk1_tsukuba_circuit_full_osrw.7z

I must say I was a bit disappointed in my results as I had good pace and qualified 2nd.
Race 1 was having a door to door battle with Joe, got it a tiny bit sideways while holding it tight on his inside which slowed my car a bit. Fozzy (I think) behind us was close and had a good run through the turn and bumped me. Racing incident, but put me way back in the pack. Started charging and overtaking some people until I missed the braking spot into T1 trying to pass Jeremy. I ran through the turn and just hit the grass and the car turned around. I have to apologise to Jeremy because he spun as well trying to avoid me. Facing the wrong way I couldn't rejoin the track until all cars went by. Finished last of the finishers.

Race 2 started 7th. Overtook ab156 when he made a mistake on lap 1. Lap 2 I was trying hard to get a good run onto the straight behind Joe. Got a bit of kerb and a bit of grass, had a bit of a fishtail but was OK except ab156 just caught my right rear as he was trying to avoid me fishtailing (apologies). Took us both out on the straight. Badly damaged, I rejoined in about 15th I think and fought my way back to 9th.
Really hard to pass on this track, but had some good fun racing in my comeback attempts.

Some days you're the statue ...

Hey Russ, newbie question here, but where do you paste the replays into in the game to view them?
Cheers,
BC.
