Success Ballast
In race 1 of every round, everyone starts with no ballast. In race 2 of every round, the top two thirds of the field will get a small amount of ballast to compress lap times, based on average (hot) lap times.

Would it be possible to use a 4G Phone a mobile hotspot to race with ?
-
I could try it, the problem is where I live I basically have to be outside for a reception, 20 mins from the state capital.
Tasmania is really a second rate poor cousin to the rest of the country

Farkennel...that's bad. I had problems in the past, I bought a telstra prepaid 4g device and used it as a backup with an external antenna, all in the upper story window. Worked very well, although this is a bit pricey option, and you really want to be on the telstra network with a telstra subscription - other providers piggybacking on T network are 'second rate customers'. (tested!)
Edit: and of course pings are still nothing to brag about...
-
I doubt I'll race again this season. I had a lap of it yesterday and not real impressed. I might give it another couple of laps and try it by itself rather than after some laps in the F12004. It was horrible in comparison.
Cheers
Darren

All the family cant use internet since a couples of days now.Line is off and on ofF and on and when is on is practically not competitive......i mean....100 bucks a month for this shit!!!!! telstra is unreachable at the moment.Better days ahead.

Hi lads,
Count me in please.
Now to pray to the sim racing gods that work and family allow my Tuesday nights to stay relatively free so I can make the full season.
Cheers,

Same here, although I may get better upload, my download would suffer. My ping has gone into double figures in the last twelve months so I'm guessing that would stay about the same.

I found these two sound mods for the 599 that seem to be imo an improvement over the original sounds.
Check em out.

Hey Wally, I am having some serious Internet problems of late with my connection dropping out at least a couple of times every night. I think it best to put me as a reserve. I will make what races I can if there are any grid positions available on the night.

That's a right nuisance :(
I'll leave you on the grid - just turn up whenever you can.

Rob,are you sure the problem is the ISP side of your router, if you are not running a LAN cable ?
-
I'll join if there is room.. sorry been absent. The humidity has been causing sinus issues and havent been able to concentrate on much for long, getting better.

Thanks Dennis, but I run a LAN cable to my PC.
I'm not sure what the trouble is. I have now spent 2 hours now with Optus help desk and they ended up saying its my modem. But this problem became noticeable when NBN started working in my estate. Plus, all the services here are underground, so every time we get a good downpour it usually plays havoc with the internet. NBN plus a months worth of rain in 24 hours, so I'm not fussed to lash out and buy a new modem just yet. Of course a Lotto win could change everything. lol.
Thanks mate
