Title: Tracks for Skippy
Post by: ab156 on March 23, 2020, 05:01:56 PM
Knockhill - it is about 60 seconds around here, should be good for racing and a bit of swearing...

Just checked back through my Gpl 65 rank to remind me of some good tracks. Cam up with the following that are available for Ac.

Albi , guessing around 1.20 second laps

Just took all the tracks for a spin.

Just my personal experience on them as someone who takes more laps than most to get any where near competent at new tracks.
Please try for your self as your views may differ .

Knockhill.
Great little track.
Would be the most rewarding track to learn out of the 3 above.
Too many parts of the track want to kill you , with some tricky combos and elevation changes.
Hard for me to learn the track quickly.

Albi
Better suited to fast cars. The RSS formula might be fun around here.
Very easy to learn very wide track. Quite a few long straights had time to light a ciggy , feed the cat and hangup the washing ;)
Lap times around 1.50.

Castle Combe
Fun track but prolly better suited to faster cars.
A couple of tricky corners to learn but not hard to master.
Overall fairly easy to learn , wide track and a couple of longer flat out sections.
Lap time around 1.20

Overall for Thursday fun races, In the view of easy tracks and closer racing.
Castle Combe would provide the closest racing I feel not to hard to learn and slipstream would play a roll.
Knockhill is much more rewarding track to get right tho but i think the field would spread out quickly.
Albi is just to long and boring in slow cars.

Edit: Albi is kinda fun in the RSS Formula , but it is a dead flat , might be good for fun runs in fast cars down the track ?

Took mid ohio for a run.

Another nice track, very "BUMPY" my hands are hurting after 15 fun laps. Got down to 1.43 lap time, still room for more.
Fairly easy to learn think it would be hard to master for me anyhow.

Keep em coming , enjoying trying these tracks while i have a week off work.
