Title: REAL TRACK - Salzburgring - Rating

The Salzburgring is a 4.225 kilometres (2.63 mi) motorsport race track in Austria, east of Salzburg.

History
The race track was first opened in 1968. Lying in a narrow, alpine valley, it has a rather simple layout, with two long straights plus the sweeping and fast "Fahrerlagerkurve" ("paddock turn") at the bottom, and the narrow "Nockstein-Kehre" on the top. In spite of its simple layout, it garnered a fearsome reputation for the high speeds reached on the straights and the "Fahrerlagerkurve". Michael Doohan describes the section between 7 and 10 as his all time favorite piece of racetrack, likening it to "threading a motorcycle through the eye of a needle at 180mph whilst banging fairings with your competitors with armco barriers on each side". He continues "Sure it was fast and dangerous, but also enormous fun. To me it's what motorcycle racing is all about".

I think everyone who has tried this circuit likes it. Well worth a league slot! We ran some Cobra races here already and seemed to handle that OK. I still have nightmares of trying to drive one of the open wheelers in the wet in Netkar :(

Very polished mod.  The layout isn't my favourite but the quality of work is excellent.

Lol Dick have you got hat line saved as a quick shortcut reply. Track looks great layout is different but fun in its own way. It just needs the chicane objects and tyres to be collision objects other then that really good.

It's OK but I had a significant FPS drop using it online with 12-15 other racers.
Definitely needs collidable objects as short-cutting the chicanes is a real issue for any league usage until that is fixed.
Also iirc pit boxes are inside the garages.

Agree with the objects needing to be collidable probably my biggest issue with the track as the first chicane especially can have a huge lap time boost by using too much of it where you should have hit the barriers.

Didnt think about the pit issue, that would be tricky in a league race with pitstops needing to actually drive into the pit for service, then back out somehow to get back on track. Also the pit exit has some weirdness going on last time I tried it making it very easy to spin the car as there is some sort of bump or mesh issue there which seems more bug then intended track surface.
