The tumbleweeds are rolling through. Not too many lap times set by the fast boys!

I thought about maybe doing a lap or two tonight but I'm not sure I want to move the 2 feet from my sofa to my rig.

No idea what others do, but I usually do some laps offline on Wednesday after the race. That's when I still have a good feel for the car, which makes it easier making setup tweaks.
No more practice after that. Then on Tuesday I try to at least match last week's laptime. Done 20 laps at Donington...awesome track, but tyres are suffering a lot.

Yes, the left side wears a lot quicker than the right.

Put too much time in preparation for rooz acc, I've done a few laps offline and managed 37's, tried a few laps in the other cars and could only manage 38's. I'll try to get on early tonight maybe. Also spent some time fiddling with csp and what not because I've started to notice some infrequent mini freezes, I think it's sorted.

Good qualy, but just too many mistakes in the races....so I didn't deserve any better.
Congrats to Bueller for both wins.

Pushed a bit too hard in qualifying also running out of fuel at the line on a hot one. Good battling in R1 don't think I would have made a pass without the guys mistakes. R2 I was a bit sketchy on the cold tyres, hope that didn't put anyone off. After Killa went off just tried to keep it consistent and not cook the tyres too much. Good night's racing, thanks guys.

fun close racing with wally. Most races I find myself in the same situation close behind an alfa and no real way to get past.

A shame to throw 2 places away at the end of the 2nd race but knew I wasn't going to make that apex so let off the brakes to avoid contact.

Wally I put my python log on discord it had a few plp errors

Qualified in 8th which is about normal for this season.  Managed to get two spots in the opening laps but then had AB on my tail from lap 5 . . . and he didn't leave until lap 16!  We had a great battle with numerous side by side clean moments, and in the end I hung on for 6th.
In race two I got away from 8th again but managed to find myself in 5th with Wally and Joe not far ahead so things looked promising.  However at the start of lap three entering turn 1 Wally and Joe floated away and I hit Wally spinning off.  It was then that I realised that my internet had decided to drop out. :(   I jumped out and then it restarted to I got back in . . obviously last.
I headed out and let the pack go by jumping on the rear.  From there I spent around 13 laps battling with DaveO.  I could catch him, make numerous attempts to pass, then slip back and repeat.  I don't think any paint was swapped in some very close and excellent racing.

Power died at about 19:20. :'(
Came back on 5 seconds later but I wasn't turning anything back on until after the storm.

Pleasantly surprised how well the hard tyres worked, the handling felt a lot more neutral than on softs. If only I could stay on track for the first few laps  :'(

Strangely driving through the field it appeared that the BMW struggled more with tyre wear than the rust-buckets.

Donnington was a great track to drive around and cut some solo laps, but it's a tricky track to pass on.

Qualifying: Finished dinner during qualy with 8 minutes left on the clock, so quickly jumped on to set a time. Low 37s were on my delta but I made silly mistakes and unfortunately had Killa pip me by a few hundredths.

R1: Followed Bueller and Killa for a while as they diced up the front. Bueller made a mistake which let me past, and I managed to put a move on Killa with some period DTM-esque rubbing in there too (all well-natured I believe Killa!). Bueller then welded himself to my rear bumper for the next 10 or so laps and my tyres were just completely off. Braking here is really odd and the E30 suffered from diff locking fairly often, so I cracked under pressure, Bueller slipped past and drove off into the sunset.

R2: I was 3rd going into the right hander at the bottom of the hill on lap 1, and tried to get past Bueller as he made a mistake which slowed him right down. This was a big mistake on my part. I dropped down to 9th, and managed to move my way through the field but with plenty of mistakes. Joe sent himself to another dimension when he realised his braking point was off, and then Wally and I had a good scrap for a lap. I managed to get past him on the last turn of the last lap, and pipped him by 8 thousandths at the finish line. Good racing!

Yes, that's all good. I thought later I should have made it a bit harder for you going a bit more defense line. Well, on top of that I screwed it up at T1 letting Bueller through as well. Some serious lack of talent I guess ;)
