Look on MSY.com.au for a creative headset for around $14. Plugs into headphone+microphone socket either in front or in back of your PC ( green and pink ports). Unless I sound horrible on TS that is :)

Fantastic. I think GRAers need all the help we can get! Thanks.

..... and I had a head-on bingle when I lost entering the last corner, sent me spinning for 10 secs and a mile off track! .....
Ha! that was me who hit you "dead-on". Couldn't decide which way to go to avoid you and ended up choosing neither :) After I hit you I couldn't find you anywhere. Eventually saw you driving back across some paddock about a mile away :)

I have the GTeye spring, it is great, much improved and easier to modulate ABS, i left the gamma as it was.

Gratulin, the brakes on the g27 and g25 need to be depressed fully after powering on to initialise them an set the range, otherwise you get 100% for the little you press.. is that what you mean?

Yep. Perhaps you don't get 100% but definitely very sensitive. But not all the time and not necessarily for everyone?

One other thing with brakes in AC. There may be a random bug with the braking that needs the brake pressure to be fully depressed while in the pits from time to time. Not sure why it happens but occasionally I go out on track and the brakes are locking up with the slightest touch of the pedal. If I go back into the pits and do the "depress brake pedal fully" thing it returns to normal.

Is there room tonight for a noob like Dick Forrest? I swear I'll be quite on TS  :P

I need to install some things though right? Freejoin or something?
as well as the track.

Prepare to crash a lot at first :-))

I think the trick with Aosta is to aim for the blue cones!!!

Your welcome. AC has been the easiest and the best wheel setup of all the sims I've tried. NetKar was the best feel previously of course but it was quite brutal if you 'oversteered' the car - for me anyway....

From memory about 2.9 for me. I also set brake bias to about 70-75 when available. This seems to allow me to push the brake pedal right to the compression point of the spring without lockup. I can the feel the threshold via pressure on the pedal.

This didn't really happen last Thursday. However, it may be worthwhile still setting up a FreeJoin server after tonight's racing. This can give the opportunity to test different track/car combinations in an online environment. How about trialling Aosta? Those who raced it on NetKar may have a better idea of a good car to use?

There may have been a problem with your update from Steam. Have you tried a validate or whatever Steam calls it?

Great to see Kunos working so fast on fixes.  I'm running at 2560 x 1440 so hopefully the fix to ultra high res works as well.

It could have been because there were only another 1 or 2 cars on the server but turning off the tyre temp app seemed to help with frame rates a little.
I just did some testing of framerates and turning off ALL the Python apps resulted in increased FPS. I am now getting over 50fps in the pits and between 70 and 100 around the circuit. Coming back passed the pits it goes back to 50-60 fps however. Seems that the Python apps hit the FPS. Not sure if this was the case before? Built in AC apps don't have the same effect since they are C++ I think.
