Thursday Nights fun racing / Re: S14 R4 - Fuji68 - 28/06/2018

Pretty cool track although very bumpy, the Escort was good here particularly in the corners but would get blown off down the straights. If I got a good run out of the last turn behind a high powered beast I could slip stream and potentially make a pass into turn 1. Only thing is the left side tyres were seriously cooking for me no matter how I tuned the car and backing off meant slower lap times. Still no match for Phil and Bacchulum lap times and I only won the last race because Phil pitted, thanks Phil lol. Good fun racing with you guys as usual, thanks.

I think that was something about that track, it was the only one I was closing the gap a little on the faster guys when driving the F1.75s

I prefer close racing, the faster cars make the pack more spread out, so I'll vote 911

I'll be accompanied by an Escort this time, she's slim, good looking and cheap

Thanks Wally for another great season of racing.
Got a PB in qual but it was a little messy, felt like another couple hundredth in it, couldn't put it together and crashed.
One of the best races for sure. Decided to go with soft/soft just for the hell of it, rear tyres were pretty shagged by the end of each stint. After getting a good slip stream I went in hot up the inside AB1 and over compensated on the brakes a little which got me turned around, no big deal but I ended up with red f/r wings. Then battled with Wally for the first half of the race, I just couldn't get past even with soft tyres. Put too much fuel in again while pitted and forgot to fix damage. Then battled Wally again for the second half, managing to get past only to miss a gear near the end, turned myself around and let a couple cars go by. Thanks everyone for the good racing!

Assetto Corsa Competizione / Re: ACC pre-alpha game play footage

My view
This is my view using a 55inch 4k screen, plus I get an extra 90deg with TrackIR. It is close to what it would be IRL in some cars. My FOV is usually below 50.
Cool set up

Here's a little more gameplay footage. I love the curved monitor.

How big was that?
Saw Kogan was advertising 34" curved monitors at a good price and was wondering how that would compare with the triple setup.
Pity they filmed it in portrait not landscape.
Pretty sure that would have been one of the 49inch Samsung ultra wide screens, equivalent to two 27inch 16:9 monitors, probably as close to triples as you can get with one monitor. Looks good.
I've got a 34in 21:9 curved ultra wide, equivalent to two 4:3 monitors, very happy with it but it doesn't compare to triples, more screen would be better in any case for racing.
I don't have room for triples but that Samsung could possibly fit lol

Porsche was crap here lol, had some straight line power but I couldn't get it turn in and pushing it to turn cooked the front tyres, on top of that I put way too much fuel for the final race which only compound the problem. Best do a quick test next time...or just choose a beamer maybe lol. Still good fun though, thanks guys.

Can I please have the K3 porsche since I only used it in the practice race before

No practice/qually just races, was a good format for the fun runs last time, turn up early and get about 9 races as opposed to the usual two or three.

Hey all
Have broken the clamps on my G25.  Have looked but cannot find any spares
Anyone know where to find parts?
Quite a few g25s and 27s on gumtree and eBay, not sure about spare parts though

Looking good

Good track, really good fun muscling these cars around it.
R1 close battles, went for a dive up the inside of Brad and couldn't pull up in time, bounced of the inside curb and went off the other side, luckily Brad was aware and we avoided contact.
R2 bit of hustle and bustle on the grid with some getting better starts than others, after a bit of bumping I ended up stuck in the guard rail on the right side of the main straight, had to escape and wait for in pits, lonely race.
R3 30 minutes of virtually no mistakes is a first for me, the one small but costly mistake was missing a gear when Bacchulum finally caught up with me, good fun thanks guys.
