Really enjoyed that, close racing pretty much the entire race.

I had no idea on strategy so at the end of practice brought out the calculator and decided to go full tank, then stop lap 15 for tyres, then on 23 for a small amount of fuel. The full tank made me pretty vulnerable and I lost places in the first few laps.

At lap 10 I braked to hard into brooklands went sideways; Simone couldn't avoid me and sent me spinning, sorry dude. Had to wait for a couple of cars before rejoined but I had a decent amount of damage and lost 4 or 5 places.

Had a good battle with Keith around lap 19 where we went side by side for 6 corners with me eventually getting by. A couple of laps later Freezer did the exact same thing to me.

Did my second stop at lap 23 (using F10 to change preset on PitConfig is nice), and came out just in front of Simone much to his dismay. He was right on my tail then not sure what happened coming out of maggots but he lost ground and went behind M8R.

After that I did some okay times, but my best was a 15.7 with my qually lap a 14.6 so the damage as definitely hurting.

Qualified 7th and finished 11th I think, so strategy probably wasn't great, and damage didn't help.

On the plus side the baby slept the whole race and I woke him up laughing to Simone at the end

I've been reading/watching a lot on this new CSL stuff. The wheel hub is apparently very close to being as good as the CSV2 at half the price. The only problem I've heard it that the CSV2 comes with the angle adjuster that the CSL doesn't need, and therefore needs to be mounted which the Fanatec 3 bolt pattern which many rigs, mine included don't fully support. Mine has the front 2 mount points, which mean it ends up being loose.

Don't know what version of Windows you use but I'm pretty sure I remember hearing something about the user documents folder being uploaded on Windows 10 if you use a Microsoft account as your login. I wouldn't use a Microsoft account anyway, and would recommend using a standard login account if you don't already.

Yeah that would be OneDrive. With a Microsoft account used it's automatically set up to sync your documents folder. It also likes to do a lot of background downloading. I had to edit the registry to tell it my ethernet connection was metered to stop it.

I guess your downstream is 4.5Mbit and not 450Mbit? Still, seems like a decent enough connection to me that you shouldn't be getting spikes that bad just when somebody uses Netflix. 0.8Mbit upstream isn't a huge amount, and in my experience ping spikes was high as you were getting last night into the 700s are usually due to uploads and maxing out your upstream.

Do you have anything that is uploading. Could be DropBox or OneDrive or anything like that, syncing photos or files, I guess even iCloud. Anything that's going to automatically sync and max out your upstream would give you that kind of grief.

Just had a thought and will follow it up, for series like this with such great skins available, if we could add a windscreen name strip would be a nice indetification method.

I turned my Vsync to adaptive in the Nvidia control panel (with vsync on in-game), as I noticed the FPS would drop from 60 to 30 as well. I reckon they've changed something in the way Vsync works in AC.

Just got this exact same issue in GTA V which is odd. Maybe it's a driver thing not a game thing. Highly recommend GTA on triples by the way.
