R7: Sep 26, Barbagallo [DOWNLOAD], 13 laps + 31 laps
It's the final round of the season, where we crown a new champion! With Phil's penalty ballast from the previous round, will that tip the scales in favour of Matthew catching up the 23 points needed to take the championship in the final round? We also welcome new racer, Slovenets. Weather: about 20 degrees, clear, light winds. RACE 1 RESULTS
RACE 2 RESULTS SEASON STANDINGS SEASON STATS Penalties Race 1 Phil locked up under brakes and ran into the rear of Bueller – penalty ballast. There was a bit of a ricochet when Dave O pulled right to avoid Russ who was re-entering the track, but bounced off of Dr.Dinkum back into Russ. Because Dave was giving a re-entering car room, that was a racing incident. Race 2 JamieP ran into the back of Freezer, spinning him – penalty ballast. Round Points Phil.8 94 buellersdayoff 90 Jeremy 87 Shayne 87 Wally 84 Matthew111 82 Seanus 78 Mael 75 diehard 72 killagorilla 67 Joe 65 Freezer 62 Bacchulum 56 RussG 55 bradc 52 Dave O 47 Doobs 46 Dr.Dinkum 46 JamieP 41 DC 33 ab156 21 Congratulations to DC and Phil on the race wins, and Phil for the overall round win. Season Podium With Kcender missing this round and Joe having a poor round, there's been some movement in the season podium, with Matthew and Jeremy moving up into 2nd and 3rd behind Phil. This also sees Struggle Street Racing Crew move up well in the team standings, now only 6 points behind Krahl Racing. 1. Phil.8, 423 2. Matthew111, 401 3. Jeremy, 399 Teams Podium 1. Assetto Corsa / Best wishes to Flattop« on: September 18, 2017, 07:55:47 PM »
Hi Bruce,
I started this thread to give everyone here at XGN an opportunity to send you messages of best wishes and support. For myself, I find you an inspirational member here who always has a positive, "have fun" attitude in all of the many years that you and I have raced together (and you're quite hard to pass!). You're always proud of your achievements when you do well, which shows the fun you're having. You're a true gentleman racer. And you have put your hand in to organise many series and get involved. You're a real asset to XGN, and a great part of the place. - Wally 604

RACE 1 RESULTS
RACE 2 RESULTS SEASON STANDINGS SEASON STATS Penalties The marshalls were kept busy this round! Race 1 Bacchulum ran into the rear of Wally (ballast penalty). Freezer clipped the rear corner of Phil and sent him off track. Because Phil was squarely on the racing line and Freezer was rejoining the line after going over a kerb, Freezer gets a ballast penalty. RussG banged into Phil’s side twice, the second time enough to send Phil off the track (ballast penalty). JamieP ran up the inside of Rob and didn’t really make the turn, spinning Rob (penalty ballast). Race 2 Bacchulum ran into the back of Freezer under brakes (ballast penalty). This set up a chain reaction of cars being squeezed off the track to avoid the stationary spun cars. There was a lot of slow congestion in one of the slow corners, with a bit of three-side side-to-side contact, where Bacchulum came off. It looks like everyone was being careful trying to negotiate the corner, so that’s a racing incident. Round Points buellersdayoff 99 Mael 94 GymHippo 90 Joe 83 Freezer 80 ab156 78 Seanus 78 Matthew111 77 Jeremy 74 Phil.8 67 Shayne 67 Wally 67 Dr.Dinkum 58 diehard 55 RussG 54 Bacchulum 51 bradc 51 Doobs 44 killagorilla 44 JamieP 38 AJ 36 Rob 35 Dave O 33 DC 0 Congratulations to Mael and buellersdayoff on the race wins, and buellersdayoff for pole and also the two fastest lap times, giving him the round win. Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Fun runs Aug 29 and Sep 5« on: August 22, 2017, 11:38:31 PM »
I'm going to be away in NZ for those couple of weeks, so the season races will be on hold until I get back (Sep 12). In the meantime, hopefully Phil can organise a couple of fun runs for those two Tuesdays while I'm away.
You can use this thread to dream up whatever and wherever you want to race. 607

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Let me know if you can't make a race, for reserves« on: August 12, 2017, 06:40:52 PM »
Hi guys, we now have more than 32 signups, so I've introduced a reserve list. Please let me know ASAP if you can't make any particular round, in that round's race chat thread, so that reserves can get a race if there's free spots.
Some tracks have more than 32 pit boxes, so we can get more racers in those rounds. If people don't turn up without any explanation, I'll move them to the reserves list, so others keen to race can get a drive. 612

Otherwise Phil would still be 1st with 100% restrictor because round 2 results, with some restrictor, would be dropped. From next round, the order will just be as per the standings, with the worst round dropped. 614

RACE 1 RESULTS
RACE 2 RESULTS SEASON STANDINGS Race 1 Penalties Bradc drifted across left to right in front of Dave O and clipped his front corner. As per the guidelines, bradc should have made more of an effort to stay on his side of the track in the first couple of turns, to avoid these side-by-side impacts. This time is a warning only. Race 2 Penalties The hairpin was a little messy, but it was just a concertina effect with slow cars in the corner, and no real harm done by any impacts. Round Points Rolz 98 Freezer 95 Doobs 88 diehard 87 Wally 81 GymHippo 77 Mael 76 Shayne 76 ab156 72 Phil.8 70 Kcender87 66 RussG 65 Joe 61 bradc 56 Slow_As 52 Shameless 51 Dave O 50 Rob 44 SkilletKid 40 JamieP 37 Simone 17 Uncle Tim 15 Flattop 13 Congratulation to Rolz on pole, race 1 win and the overall round win (more restrictor incoming!) and Freezer on the race 2 win, by 0.355 seconds over Rolz.
