Sorry if I sound negative here ... but:
You mean they are finally catching up with rF2  which has had day/night forever and rain for years - including the ability to have "live" weather injected into the game.
Oh, except this will be for just one class of racing???

But at least it's catching up.
rFactor isn't working on it's physics to catch up AC......

The thing that always held KS back is their insistence on using their own proprietary graphics engine (programmer's arrogance maybe). Now they're finally using a robust third party graphics engine, it opens up lighting and weather effects.

I'm only worried that it's going to need quite the hardware upgrade for my poor old GTX980.

And upgrade timing couldn't be worse, pricing wise!

Here's a little more gameplay footage. I love the curved monitor.

At E3, ACC was ran on Intel i7 8700k, Nvidia GTX 1080, 16GB RAM on 4K resolution monitors (This is not fully representative for our final requirements, suggested and minimal either!) The gameplay trailer was recorded without editing on an i7 4770k, Nvidia GTX1070, 8GB RAM @ 1080p, 60fps. Hope this helps.
Here's another video, which shows the times of day nicely.

How big was that?
Saw Kogan was advertising 34" curved monitors at a good price and was wondering how that would compare with the triple setup.
Pity they filmed it in portrait not landscape.

My view
This is my view using a 55inch 4k screen, plus I get an extra 90deg with TrackIR. It is close to what it would be IRL in some cars. My FOV is usually below 50. You can shrink pic to fit your screen by using the Cntrl  and Minus keys.

Here's a good lengthy review from someone who tried the ACC demos at Misano (keeping the hype train rolling).

Pretty sure that would have been one of the 49inch Samsung ultra wide screens, equivalent to two 27inch 16:9 monitors, probably as close to triples as you can get with one monitor. Looks good.
I've got a 34in 21:9 curved ultra wide, equivalent to two 4:3 monitors, very happy with it but it doesn't compare to triples, more screen would be better in any case for racing.
I don't have room for triples but that Samsung could possibly fit lol

Interesting write up, Sounds good, Just cant get excited due to the content, I have not driven 90% of the cars in AC, so I just know if I get this I will play for a day or 2 and that will be it

Here's another interesting write up, from Minolin who attended. Not so much about the game itself, but the people and drivers he met. Quite an interesting read.

Yeah, I know what you mean.  The GT cars are a very "safe" point and shoot car without much character compared to the others.  I think they are popular because amateurs feel like they can drive something quickly without getting in too much trouble.

Part of the fun in driving something stupidly over powered and under gripped like earlier F1 cars or something that lurches around because it wasn't really designed as a race car first, like a big BMW, is taming the beast.

I'm more interested in following how ACC pans out in the hope of what it could mean for a full blown AC2.  I just wonder whether releasing one make series is a lot easier and more profitable rather than having to adjust models for many different cars with each update and fight the threat of legal action for various un licensed mods being released, etc.

However, if Kunus were planning in releasing many different one make series games you would think they would include the name of the series in the title to avoid confusion for consumers...

I think it's good to develop a game focussed on one real life series. AC had no real purpose or direction, and not many different compatible cars that could really compete with other. Focusing on one series lets them model fewer cars better, and implement the rules of that series more completely (think rolling starts and driver swaps). It can be much more of a racing simulator rather than a driving simulator.

I hope that ACC gives the company a good cash injection that lets them continue to move onto better things. Maybe the next thing in the pipeline is another single series sim. I bet Stefano would be drooling at the opportunity to make an F1 game.
