Where did you find the maths channel formula Wally?
Were there any others?
I might have to go through my collection of Racecar Engineering, Data Bytes column and see what's in there.

I was reading a bit around - I was interested in particular in seeing if you could measure understeer and oversteer via the telemetry. That channel was actually a built-in one in Race Studio (called AIM_kus, I think). I just had to substitute in the AC terms for a couple of the bits.

I was thinking there may be a way for me to get my corner loads by using susp. travel combined with spring rate. :-\
Maybe I'll check out the google. ::)

Hi Wally.

Not sure if you're interested but here is my telemetry from my PB at Mugello in the Tatuus:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bumfqltj34yytd8/TatuusFA%20Mugello.nkt

It's the very last lap completed.  Should be a 1.44.0

Cheers.

Here is mine running pretty much the same setup as GB but not as good a lap. Last 2 laps are 1:44.8's

Here's where guy makes up a stack of time on me (zoomed in on turns 2 and 3):

I'm red, Guy is green. Top trace is throttle. He is going full throttle coming out of turn 2, whereas I am lifting heaps to get through turn 3.

I also lift to get through turn 6, while Guy stays flat. He is also much quicker back onto the throttle in turns 12 and 14.
Our braking is pretty similar everywhere.

proper link would be of more use then.  :-[

Marty is red, Guy is green.
Pretty similar traces, with only 0.75 sec difference in lap times. Guy is quicker back onto the throttle at every turn (top trace), and Marty lifts at turn 6 like me. Interestingly Guy brakes a lot harder than Marty (second trace) - might come down to pedals.

Thats quite intersting and I noticed guy getting on gas just ahead of me everywhere when I followed him. Braking could be as I have the pedals on a linear line where default has a curve to it which guy may be using as we both have similar pedals and gteye springs, Im using the g25 he is g27 I think.

Thanks Wally.  Great analyses.  It looks like Marty is quicker through T1 than me, he carries more speed into the corner, where as I aim for a faster exit and slower mid-corner.  Do you see the same thing?

I see Marty going deeper under brakes, gaining time but at a relatively slow speed over a short distance.
The exit you're getting seems to compensate for this, possibly giving a gain all the way through to T4.

Another pattern I see in Guy's data is he ramps up the throttle very quickly to about 80% before breathing it for a fraction of a second then getting it full open.
Not sure if this is his advantage or more time he can make, but it's fairly consistant. ???
