This is the review I really wanted before I spent all my money but couldn't wait that long.
Basically comes down to the CSL and TS-PC being pretty much the same, but IMO the fanatec rim is heaps nicer. CSW V2 clearly better than the other two, which you'd hope with the higher price. CSW V2 has also just had a $100 price drop.
Interestingly the dude was around 1 sec quicker with the CSW V2 than the other two bases so I guess that explains how Phil is so fast
Was just doing my daily Gumtree 'Fanatec' search and these Fanatec V2s came up for a bargain price of $160! If anyone is around the Newcastle area and needs some pedals get on this shit yo!
Selling my G27. Approx 2 years old (with an 8 months in that period not used). Pedals have the GTEye spring mod.
Ebay tells me the trending price is $250, so $200 for the any XGN members. Sydney pick up or could get a quote to post.
This delivery just arrived!!!
Unfortunately the deal I made with my wife for ordering it before I technically had enough money was that the kids could wrap them and give them to me on my birthday, which isn't until the 31st, so this is going to kill me.
I literally just re-enabled updates as windows forced me to update before I could buy a game from the store. It did an auto update last night, so assume I'll have the issue described here
So with thanks for Humper, Phil, some dude called Nick Moxley and a file, I've now replaced the stock fanatec damper with a mugen one.
I originally found out about the mod via the Inside Sim Racing forums where Nick has detailed how he did the mod. I then found he was a member of the same Sim Racers facebook group as me so I was able to message him and get further details.
I remember Phil had these pedals and had mentioned modding them; he had the mugen damper which were bought in a pair and when he sold his pedals to Humper he also sent the spare damper.
Humper still had the spare and was happy to sell it to me. Don't you love it when a plan comes together! Looking forward to trying it out later.
Codemasters have ported F1 2016 to Android and visually it's pretty damn good. Controls are a bit off, but it's something to play when on the bus or ferry.
Not sure I'd pay 15 bucks for it though
First I heard of this new wheel today. Seems it's out on the 5th Dec (prob USA).
I'm currently saving for a wheel upgrade so keen to hear what the reviews will say.
Maybe one for gb.
Fanatec are discontinuing their CSR pedals and selling then at 50% off so only 70 bucks. Seems good value.
Anyone running with V-sync on?
Since moving to triples I had to turn the settings down a tad to maintain a near constant 60fps but I'm getting a lot more tearing than I used to. I just had a quick go with V-sync on and it was super smooth, and not really any noticeable input lag. Even did a PB.
Unsure whether to turn some settings up again to avoid going over 60fps or leave V-sync on. The input lag you'd get would be different for every game, but didn't seem any different to me with AC.
Ebay are having one of their 20% off sales again. Makes the 1070 tempting. 20% off the displayed price.
So I sold all my camera gear, spent 800 of that money on Lego (hobby I picked up during my AC break), and have just about enough left that could afford a T500RS.
Anyone have one? Any good? Any other recommendations?
Currently running a G27. Probably won't bother with a shifter as I can't really use the clutch. That said I don't like the idea of not being able to use one should I decide to try, so I may pick one up in the future.
