Thanks Dennis, I know I kept a copy of it, but can't find it now. Checked old emails, but not there, maybe got lost in the re-install.  >:(
In such cases it maybe best to contact cm themselves, they must have a database that they can search by email.

Highest order of apologies to everyone - I've managed to touch the bloody barrier of course, and it has/had a really bad part...that got me spinning, and after that I was a passenger.
Something is not right with these cars in this department; they like to just spin up and keep spinning madly - and of course there's nothing you can do.

First race was great, though.

Not coming back for race 3?

fook... I thought it was a 2-race night.

My problem is that it's a niche segment game, and quite closed/restricted, but without a subscription model.
Result: it'll die sooner rather than later; people can't be arsed to race the same handful of tracks/cars all the time, and they won't be able to generate much new content because of the payment model.

Therefore I do not want to invest in it.  I reckon kunos got sidetracked here - or maybe he just wanted to test some new engines on the way to the new nkp/ac game.

... but I think Bird decided to back out a little....

Ah, yes; I thought we were 2-wide, but when I've realised it's a threesome I kept back; I did not think I had anything to gain by sticking in there but we had everything to lose :)

I had a very average quali, almost losing out completely there :)  2 mistakes on outlaps (the 2nd was hitting the haybales on the last corner!) saw me just having enough time to complete a flying lap.  I was very careful not to fuck that up.

In both races Joe gave me a position early on, that I duly gave back later, hehe.

First race was awesome, Phil you were giving me lots of pressure, and thankfully did not manage to take my position (just!).   The only podium finish for the season, yay!

By the second race Phil has found his pace, and Joe always had his, so I was just lapping in between, trying not to hit anything too hard - which I've managed.

I simply cannot keep the car consistently power-sliding around corners - which is incidentally what's needed for quick cornering.   The top three were lapping in 11's I was in the 13's - no contest.

Still, this was a hugely enjoyable track, and so I did.

haven't had a lot of time with the track but a 2.09 in the Fez should be manageable.  Quicker if I have more time to practice.

I'm not even going to try to chase that time. You are driving in a parallel universe, mate :)
I could probably get another second or so out of it, but 5 !?!

Bird's posted a very nice Ferrari setup on Discord. Thanks Bird.

But dammit, I'm still so slowwwww.

That is Guybrush's spa setup with gear & tyre pressure changes.

I love this track, especially the first part has such an excellent flow.  I can throw the car into the corners with confidence.  The second part is a bit average, but I'll take it (I'm not a hairpin person).

There's one thing I hate; that lamppost in the 3rd last corner.   :)

GB, your spa setup is excellent here.

For the most part it is but I'm thinking 1st and 2nd can maybe be changed to be a bit quicker through the hairpins.

Some gearing change maybe in order, and definitely tyre pressures, indeed.

Awesome track! Love at first sight; it's pretty, winding in the mountains, it has a nice flow - what else could you wish for?
It isn't that bad as learning-in goes IMO, but there are a couple of funny feeling corners that'll take a while to master.

where do I find the NO PEOPLE.zip and the PEOPLE.zip and SOL+SHADER PATCH.zip archive for the shader thing if I decide I need
in the data folder

When you watch the replay though, in this incident you just bounced off the armco and spun across the track. So yes, the armco was too sticky in general (and I wouldn't use this track again), but it didn't contribute to this particular incident.

I must admit I haven't saved the replay due to a massive disinterest in seeing this track ever again, however, at the time it felt like hitting a somewhat used bumper in an old pinball machine. :)
The car just jumped sideways a bit, corrected, brushed the armco, BANG.

....and less silly than Bird   MMMMUUU-HA!!!

You could seldom even lick my footprint when it comes to sillyness! :D

Results are up in the 1st post.

I gotta say, for all the outrage and dummy spitting at the start of race 1, all that happened was Bird hit the barrier all by himself at high speed and spun out into the track, causing a pile up that was always going to be hard to avoid on that very fast sweeping turn 1 if anyone crashed. That's racing!

Yeah a very similar thing at the 1st start, by someone else.  And after that 2nd attempt I decided I'm too under the weather for this and sat it out.  The car just moves a bit sideways sometimes and that's it - it is very dangerous to race with such fucked up armcos.

...the walls are sticky, abrasive, there are holes on the outsides of the corners...

Here we go,extract that to the track folder and overwrite collision.kn5

Can't swear I got it all as culling the faces needed was a bit tricky. Quick test was all good so see how we go.

Yes, and thanks, I've already installed that bit, and it has improved things a lot. However, that still leaves places where it's rather deadly :)
