I did read about the steam integration seems they have done quite well with this. I dont have the lifetime online and last I remember mp was pretty dead outside of league stuff so not sure if I will bother even getting the steam key.

At least it makes it much better then it was though to get the official content. Before you couldnt even dl everything in 1 go so the workshop stuff looks better then any other sim has done. This may boost rf2 a bit so maybe down the track I will give it another run.

In Steam, select Games/Activate a Product in Steam then enter the Steam Key that was emailed to you by ISI.

Uninstall your other version. steam will redownload everything automatically for you into your Steam library.

You need to apply for a steam number from ISI. They email it.

So if I already have a lifetime subscription to RF2 what, if any , are the advantages of going to Steam?

Steam games are easy to transfer over to a new PC when you migrate/upgrade...

The support of Steam Workshop is the main benefit for me. You can browse the mods in Steam (a good interface similar to an App Store) and subscribe to a specific mod and it gets automatically downloaded and installed.
