The way of linking is quite screwy in SMF, or someone hasnt updated the youtube links  8) here is what I do......

Step one, copy the embeded code from Youtube, () sometimes there will be a v=code, do not copy the v= only code after the =

Step two, click youtube tags (above smilies) [ youtube][/youtube] I put a space deliberately in code so you can see the tags. otherswise you would see this #Invalid YouTube Link#

Step three, insert code in bold only DP2JH5LYNhM in between youtube tags
It should look like this, [ youtube]DP2JH5LYNhM[/youtube]

Step four, press post  ;D

Actually, most forums seem to have problem with the youtu.be format.   Some at least handle the youtube.com links.
The SMF is updating itself regularly, so if it would be in, it would be working.  There maybe some module or package or whatnot to handle it, but I CBF'ed, it's super simple to cut the code out of a url :)

...or just post the link, if someone is interested they'll click.
