Peversed Layouts
« on: February 28, 2017, 11:56:49 PM »
Here is my first go at tweaking AC.
Some alternative layouts.
Unless noted these tracks drop into their parent's [track folder].

Link to my Google Drive folder 'Tracks'

Give 'em a spin and let me know.

That could be an interesting way to breathe new life into old tracks.

How do they flow backwards? Or is it sort of much of a muchness?

I only tried spa once in the lotus 49, and it was actually quite nice---bit less of a modern track and a bit more crazy (not least because the runoff areas are clearly in the wrong places---think of eau rouge). But I think it is a race case and might not work easy for "serious" races---think of the pit exit in a reverse spa... completely nuts.

Thomson Road with grid spots bumped up to 40.

I can add any number of pits to any track, much like OSRW has done.
That's good to know. Can you also add cones or even a white line to where the pit lane starts and the pit limiter comes on?

I have updated Gentrack1 Reversed with a Pit Lane speed limit line. Redownload from the link in the OP

Cones I haven't had a look at yet.
When you do that, are you modifying the base track or adding an extra layout, like the OSRW pit boxes?

I can do it both ways. Adding stuff can always be done by introducing a new model but to remove stuff I need to edit the original track.
It's certainly better to add layouts. That way you don't stuff up checksums on original tracks and so on.

is the west track of Bilster Berg meant to have 40 grids also like the other 2 layouts ?

No, only sixteen as there is no pitlane to speak of. I can easily put more in but it won't look so good. Of course once on track that doesn't matter. I might delete the clubhouse and have everyone park there like they were in a carpark. Pitstops will never work but it's a tiny little layout so an enduro there probably wouldn't work anyway.

cool

Bathurst updated. Original, Mirrored and Reversed layouts.
Delete previous versions of acu_bathurst.
Although the original track remains untouched I have needed to rearrange the folder order to get these layouts to show in the Server Manager.
Should not casue online mismatches but will need testing to confirm.
Ah, I wondered why some layouts don't appear in the server manager. What's the requirement for the folder order?
