Just been trying to tune my 900hp Sprintcar, and for the life of me couldn't get rid of, on throttle understeer. Turns out not enough droop at the front, the thing was wheelying out of the corners!!
Gimme a go of yours.
(I'm guessing it's different to the RD one ??? . It sucks)

So much understeer!!!  900hp spool diff just pushes like a MoFo.

Anyway a SprintCar and Martinsville.

I think the car is good :) :) Would it be possible to simulate a dirt track by lowering the grip level or any oval track to close to what a dirt track's grip would be like?

Not sure AC can do it. I can't drift in AC but others can but anyway, dirt track is not drifting as it is the fastest way around the corner. To get that much slip angle but still have forward slip ratio driving you around the corner is not something AC can do.
Don't quote me on that, it would be great if someone could get it done.

A dirt track, and I have a set on my drive. ;)
Like Seanus, I can't get a full drift, but I'm working on it. 8)

What a drag. As it turns out literally. I've got the wing way up top but so was the drag. I took out the downforce but left the drag and the car flipped over backwards!   :-\ :-\ ;D
So I've put most of the drag back on the body and now of course the thing is mad loose cause I spent all of my time trying to tune out the understeer.  >:( >:( :o
These things do run on asphalt in real life so I wonder how the drag affects them?

Same link. Cm shows version numbers now.

Would the car drift more if the tyres had Crossply parameters?
I could not get the new car update to load.
I think with some adjustments there would have to a happy medium between grip and downforce, thanks for efforts so far.

The setup could be crap atm, whilst GzeroD is still altering things.

I'll park that for now and go on to the Buick. Want to get it sorted so we can run it. Members seem interested in NASCAR.

OK. I hope I have the Buick sorted.
Default setup is 50% on all settings so probably not something you would race with, especially on an oval. This could be changed to a very generic road course setup if a tester would be so kind as to make one.
Each setting has plenty of room up and down.
No rear toe or camber as I finally sorted out the 'truck' rear end.
Engine has a redline at 8000 but makes max power at 9000 and then sfa.
Above 8000 you start to take damage but at a low rate. It will take many 10s of minutes to blow your engine.(subject to testing)
Idea is to roughly set your solo top speed for 8000rpm then in a tow you can use the overhead.

I have tested Buick at Indianapolis Speedway 1960s and it is good, just stiffened RHS supension and lowered Diff settings. This is a big car :o and imho I think is good enough for a fun run.

I'll try and get a run in at Charlotte tonight.
Then Sonoma, maybe tomorrow. ;)
