Well, happy birthday.   These modern bikes are scary for me, too.   I did not dare trying my friend's 1100cc beast either, it's been a long time and I've only been on low-powered 250cc bikes.  I'm too old for these things, but too young to die :)

Thanks buell, ahh alas still out of my price range at the moment...
Me: "dear, can I have $1300 for a new card for PC, PLEASE?"
My dear wife: no verbal, points to pile of receipts for the FJ.
hehe
I was unsure of the discount, ahh well... I will keep an eye secondhand for one.
Phil's GTX 980 is for sale Bruce.

Its true  8)
okay I have a GTX 770

so question time:
what factor better is the 990 to the 770?
Will it fit in the same slot as the current 770?
I have a high output power box, so it should just use the same wiring?

sorry most of my hardware knowledge is old, worked with software too long :)

The vette's unpopular. I haven't really tested its tyre/fuel endurance - maybe it chews through them faster than the other two cars.
I think tyres are going to suffer here, but as I am planning on only running for a short period just to hear the sounds, I'll won't be afflicted by it.

If your card isn't sold yet/promised, were you able to run AC with everything on max?

PS. Were there any rule changes you were planning on the night?

Phil and I discussed this and we strongly agreed that as I was lapped by the entire field last race, that I would have no restrictors and everyone else would have MAX restrictors.
nice try, did it work?  ::)
Nope :(
I think they gave me a max restrictor cos I was way off the pace again.

Ahh the "Phil System"  >:D

They certainly gave me, and I know yourself Denis, a stunning sim representation of the magic years of racing, that was second to none.
It was disappointing the the legacy net code from GTR2 let it down.

But I do think it was fantastic!  And thanks to the agile people at XGN, we explored it, enjoyed it.

Hope all is getting better Bruce.  It's been a while, but it was always nice to hear from you both in the forums and on the track.  Here's to a better road ahead and many more fun times on track.
Thanks Guy and I particularly like your analogies, that are in fact part of my plan!
Cheers,
Bruce

I won't be buying it anytime soon. I am "full up" with AC
I must admit, AC provides a wealth of entertainment, I must have been in the "gotta have" mode for a few seconds  :o
