Title: AC sound to 512 max channels
Post by: rooshooter on July 23, 2020, 08:58:54 AM

This makes a big difference :) :)

The file audio_engine.ini is located in: ...\steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg

Change the value of max channels to 512 from 256. It should then look like this:

[SETTINGS]
ENABLE_AUDIO=1
MAX_CHANNELS=512
UPDATE_INTERVAL=0
ENABLE_PERFORMANCE_SPEW=0
LIVE_UPDATE=0

What do you notice? Do you hear more cars around you?

One word, YES,you can hear all the cars around you, and no more intermittent loss of sound of your own car.

I noticed in the night race that my headlights were flickering under brakes.  Wasn't every corner.
 Anyone else have that..
