Was also considering a M.2NVMe Solid State Drive as a boot drive. Don't really know much about them, but is this a good idea?
Also noticed places like MSY and IT Warehouse don't list the 9600 anymore so assume the 10600 is better?

At my age reckon this may be the last.

NVme .2  is  are good  I have 2 x 500gig ones I use for games storage ( triple A titles), they make the games load faster no real gaming performance apart from that.  For my boot drive i used a 128gig ssd drive is ample .  But I am ocd and only intall apps and windows to my boot drive.  Downloads go to a hard drive.

Pro tip I heard with SSD's and NVme's is you don't defrag them . It reduces their life cycle .

Also Nvme comes in different flavours , makes sure it has the .2 there is also some other things with them to look out for that i can't think of atm.

I would opt for 1.... 1 TB SSD as the only storage, works for me.

Got 3 x 27 inch. Only play AC and RF2
Previously had 4tb, 3tb, 2x2tb, 500m ssd, and 250m ssd.
When I did the Win10 install something went wrong and it stuffed my 4 Tb which had all my AC and RF2 downloads, thousands of tracks, cars and apps. Had to format it and lost it all, although I think I have a backup somewhere, just haven't had time to look for it.
That's why I am looking to do a new setup, think there is something crook with the motherboard as now it will only recognize a maximum of 4 hdds

Only thing, postage starts to add up when buying multiple retailers unless they have free shipping and in those lists some do it seems.
If those monitors are 1080p a 3070 should be ok, I'd think.

Yeah for sure; 3080 would be total overkill if all you're playing is AC/RF2 on 1080p triples. I just told my 2070 super and that had AC maxed out and getting well over 100fps which with 60hz monitors is already overkill. ACC on High preset it would average 70fps.

No, think I will stick with the triples.
Did see a 49 inch curved screen at Harvey Normans that got me thinking though.

Those 49's are close to the same size as two 27inch monitors and will have the same pixel density as two monitors whether it be two QHD or FHD, depends on which version you're looking at (1440p or 1080p). So probably still doable with a 3070 with those games but ACC might need to be set down a notch if you're looking at the 1440p version.

Thought it was my MB giving trouble but fixed it, so bought a 3070 today and will see how my existing setup works with that.
If it doesn't, will get the rest later.

Later: Installed it and on the in-game benchmark test, went from 134fps to 157 fps but that was with the old gpu on medium settings but the 3070 on max settings, so think I will leave the mb and cpu upgrade for later.
