We'll I've mostly been doing zero practice and downloading the track on the night, then doing terribly but that's what Thursday nights are all about! :D

Your own words phill. I understood it was for THAT round.
Quote
Car swap round,  swap to an open car if in a closed and visa versa
If you really love your car and don't want to swap you can keep it, its all about fun

No-one mentioned that I had to keep it for the remainder of the season.
No-one mentioned it for the entirety of the time I had logged in TS or the server from start to finish last night.

Nice to see how rules are made on the fly to suit yourselves.

So you didn't think about why everyone else was in the 'other' car last night?

I should of made this in the big orange writing more clear and made it more obvious the change was for the rest of the season

Its meant to be fun and I don't want to wreck UnFknBLievables season and I want it fair to those who swapped,   what should I do then,

Half points for the round ? and be eligible again ,  is everyone happy with that  ?

Everyone else understood the car swap was for the rest of the season , your suggestion seems fair enough to me.

I thought constantly  changing & obscure rules were part of the Thursday fun, sort of a challenge to hit a moving target  ;D

So I suggest for the next race we allowed to nominate the championship leader's tire choice as added "car equalization"  measure! A slightly overweight girlfriend in Bacchulum's car would not go amiss either  :P

I'll take the 1/2 points, but in all honesty - I didn't see anywhere written it was a permanent swap.

Phil, do you think it would be ok now to add a few Skip Barbers back in the server? Would be good if a few people want to do some open wheeler runs tomorrow night?

I have registered and practiced for the green hell, I think it is another sign of mental instability!  :o So I may join you guys after one lap of the other :)

Don't go wide after turn four(onto the parabolika) or after turn 10, the timing beacons are right on the track edge and missing them causes you to lose a lap.

Apologies to Unbelief and AJ for the first race. Made a mistake overtaking Joe knocking Unbelief off the road and then while fuming over the stupid error I returned to the track without looking for oncoming traffic.

At least I got some comic relief from Phil's on-board footage during the rest of race 1, seemed someone kept on moving his brake markers  ;D

was a good race, enjoyed it.
Noting some times from Phill and Bach, I thought I'd have a tough race getting to 1.36's.

Race 1 - Had a good jump off the line and tried to gain as much pace as I could before the first turn. Somehow I managed to get in top place applying heavy pressure on the pack leaders as they went wide or locked up under brakes. From there, I had to play a defensive game knowing my times weren't as quick and with 3 others gaining on my tail, I had to pick my line carefully. Unfortunately Mael spun me, but I regained speed and control pretty quick so I didn't loose out that much. Joe got himself a big gap between myself and Phill so I kept on Phill's bumper until he eventually locked up and went wide again in the last few laps. Congrats Joe on the win.

Race 2 - Working my way up the pack from 3rd last (I think someone wanted to stay at the back as I gave heaps of room to overtake on the outlap). Found myself behind Wally who did a good job trying to hold me up. Thanks for the brake check btw. Dove in on the inside at one stage and got around him to carry out the remainder of the race.

Next race I may/may not make it as I am about to become a new dad next week. Hopefully I've acquired enough points to hold out, even for just one race out of two.

I was having a lot of trouble braking into corners. I always felt very close to sliding off the track and was struggling to find a good brake modulation.

Congratulations Dad!

Maybe you could do with some new pedals?

Congrats. I ended with with an unwanted 8 month break when I had my 3rd. I tried to keep going but I could never finish a race so had to call it for a while.

Cruel Joe, very cruel :)
But it will help. My current brake pedal just has a linear resistance and its very hard to apply progressive brake pressure.

Ya gotta laugh at this kinda thing, I do stuff like that all the time....

Yeah you will love it! Initially I thought mine were 'broken' as it feels so different and struggled for a few days but now there's no way I'd go back.
