Oh man, what a track!

47
We showing our age  :-\

48
head on crash on a race track!

And that is why we do not see old school tracks in real life anymore. Layouts like that would never pass modern safety inspections. At the very least there should be a barrier preventing cars crossing into oncoming traffic when spinning off.

Can you imagine the chaos at the hairpin, Symmons Plains raceway without the central barrier?

Somethings were not better in the old day  :(

I got 4th, 1st, 3rd, Mael got 1st, 5th, 4th. Even with an extra point for pole and fastest lap in one race, how is that 14 more points than me?
Oops, my mistake (I counted race 3 results twice). Fixed.

I demand Joe get deducted 50 points for daring to question Wally!!

I filled the gap between the button and the housing with 406 (industrial super glue) and backed that up with gaffa tape.
If that fails, I'll use Wally's suggestion and just completely remove the switch and hard-wire it permanently on.
Hopefully all this is temporary, I'm working on a budget for a replacement, CSL DD, but that may take some time to accrue.

We need picture of a Rube Goldberg machine type contraption to fix the problem. Maybe a automaton powered by the sound of a engine starting?   :P

You missed out Bacchulum   :P

My life has just go to busy to play as I would like to unfortunately

Time to find a new team mate  :'(

You think anyone will have Phill's patience to put up with you Joe? Better we hope Phil gets bored as winter starts returning and have time available to join us  :)

Results are up. Audi power saw me win this round and take the lead in the standings.

Note: Looking at the race 2 log file and the replay, I get a finish order of:
1. Wally
2. Mael
3. Freezer
4. Joe
5. AGK
6. Doobs

So I get a few more points than the 30 measly ones in the opening post?   :P

I want this:

but with a bit of love from Seanus. Maybe fitted with a Renault formula 3.5 engine?  ;D

Lol, would not quite be as much fun but bit more practical.  ::)

A 3.5 litre V6 Nissan VQ35 unit producing 480 bhp would require the car to carry enough ballast to weigh about 1920kg.    ;D ;D ;D
Maybe a 1600cc turbo from one of the Peugeot rally cars would be more like it.

I don't know how you can drive the Ginetta Mael. It feels very weird, like it's got a 10 cm wheelbase and the turn-in is almost instant. I got rid of some of that unnatural feel with setup changes, but it's still odd.

If the front wheels grip then I'm happy   ;D
But think low 56's will be required for Tuesday.
