Well I must say that was one of my most enjoyable nights sim racing yet. Not the fact that it was my best points haul here at XGN but just how close and fair the racing was. There are no regrets joining this crowd and I hope this is just a taste of whats to come, as I'll certainly be back for more. Thank you to everyone for being so welcoming and to all those who make this sim racing community go round, I'm still new here and I'm sure there are others that contribute but it seems Wally and Marty do a lot to make this run seamlessly.

Qually was a little disappointing with a cut track on the penultimate corner of the last qually lap after being 1.2 seconds up according to my delta. Considering though I didn't turn a lap until I jumped on with approximately 15 mins left of practice, I was happy to take what I could get.

R1 lap one... Carnage is probably the best word to describe it haha. A blessing in disguise winding up second last after the turn 1-2 combination. Unfortunately (and sorry) I gave AJ a slight nudge which seemed to propel him forward yet under control albeit on the grass, he was then collateral damage to the carnage. Made up a few places on lap one then tried to settle into a rhythm to lay a good foundation for the race. My re-collective memory is not great but I do remember the race was fantastic... minus the details  :-\ Jeremy successfully performed an undercut on me and we duelled to the end. Joe made it interesting having his spin, I could taste the blood in the water but had my handful with Jeremy. Finished P6.

R2, much better start! Well for the whole group not necessarily for me. I innocently  :D used up two cut tracks in two laps. From there I realised a slight error could dictate my finishing position let alone my track position. Fighting for position pretty much the whole race, it was outstanding! I remember pitting because I felt I lost my flow, I just wanted to regather my thoughts and compose myself but I came out into the onslaught of Freezer and Jeremy. I felt I was the one holding everyone up because every time I looked in my mirror I could just see this aggressive train of cars. I managed to hold them off with a little bit of defensive driving at times to finish P5.

What a tight race. P5 through to P9 finishing with just 2.5 seconds!

What's the error?
The error is:
ERRORS with content: ks_silverstone-gp_osrw/gp_osrw,
ks_silverstone-international_osrw/international_osrw,
ks_silverstone-national_osrw/national_osrw, view log for details

I tried sifting through the log with no luck (my computer skills are quite basic). I tried re-installing silverstone track and associated files (osrw pit mod), tried re-installing pit config.

The symptoms experienced are the pitconfig box was no longer visible even though it was activated in the main menu. When I went to pit, it flashed up the pit options for a split second then went immediately to changing fuel and tyres (this hurt my Silverstone race). I turned off pitconfig in the main menu and everything runs as it should with the exception of the error message on start up.

I'll try verifying the integrity of the game when I get home tonight.

Any other suggestions welcome.
Are you sure you're extracting the pit mod into the correct folder I. E. At the correct level?
I double checked and the files were in the right destination, which they were.

I ran the integrity check and 1 file was bad and redone.

I launched the game and the error remained. I figured I wasn't in much need the OSRW for Silverstone anytime soon so I removed all the OSRW Silverstone files & folders, the error did not return and the Pitconfig is once again operational.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I look forward to Spa  :D

Sounds like it will be a fun event... Although I was hoping I could have some assistance with AC before this race. I'm getting an error on start up and the only thing it appears to have affected is the pitconfig app. In turn this is killing me during the pit stops loosing seconds each time I need to pit, this race being a multi stop I was hoping to have it resolved before then.

I won't babble on with the symptoms but could any point me in the right direction to seek help?

Thanks for the special mention Wally  :)

I've always liked Brands Hatch with its undulations and blinds corners, but never seemed to perform well here. With no practice prior to the Tuesday evening my thoughts were resigned to that of another poor performance. With the qualifying result in this was looking to be another one of those nights.

Race 1 was very much still a learning endeavour for me, lap by lap scouting out the tarmac and lines. Not much overtaking per se more so capitilising on other peoples errors saw me picking my way up the leaderboard. Then a few own goals towards the end (due to some distractions outside the immersion) dropped me back a couple of spots to finish 14th.

Race 2 on the other hand was great! I had seemed have got my eye in during R1 and I was following Bacchulum closely for a number of laps after the start. I few slip ups saw me fall away from the pack to I took the opportunity to pit. I came out circulating for a while then Nith and Mael jumped out of the pits which led to a great stoush till pretty much the end and some point along the way Seanus joined the pack. Kudos to Nith, I was a bit nervous going side by side through a few turns given the chatter around round 1, but very gentlemanly leaving racing room and if my memory serves me correctly not even a touch. Mael, great racing as well, a few elbows between us but redressed were necessary thank you. My apologies for almost turning you in turn one I did not realise we had the slightest of overlaps.

Can't wait to tidy up my race and be more consistent to see where it lands me in the placings.

See you next week.

That was a really great race imo, I had a ball.

My apologies to the people I bumped, I hope I didn't ruin anyone's race. Constructive feedback welcome :)

Thanks to everyone who participated, and the guys running the show.

Hi All,

The name's Keith, I'm 32 I hail from Brisbane but reside in Sydney.

Love all things motorsport, particularly F1 & V8 Supercars. I've been into sim racing for a few years now and have most of the racing sims/games out. Most of my time is spent in RF2 in a little private league which is great but I have a little more time available now so thought I would see what's out there.

My recent introduction to the Monorating system in AC restored my interest in the game, so I ran on a XGN server and noticed the peolpe on there were quick, consistent, and fair that's all I'm looking for :)

hopefully see you out on the track,
Keith
