Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S10R6: Nurburgring GP Post-Race Chat« on: March 02, 2016, 12:14:15 PM »,i mean there is nothing else except what doobs did.....leaving the season, but thats is not going to work for him...nowhere!! Sure it works Simone, I'd rather do that than get so pissed off I abuse someone and get banned for life. After last night (which wasn't the first meet where I was effectively knocked out of having any fun on the first lap in both races) I have the following attitude: If I race I won't be practicing, I won't bother qualifying, and I won't give a shit as to how I drive so I'm likely to show up for the last two weeks. Soooo, I doubt I'll be racing the last two races. If I think my attitude has changed, I will drive, otherwise it's not worth it. 272

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S10R4: Mugello Pre-Race Chat« on: February 11, 2016, 08:53:45 AM »For the couple other guys in the Mclaren I have managed to find some lap speed out of it but its still rather slow in the straight so nothing can be done about that. I havent managed to make a setup for mediums thats real good for the race without having to back off a little yet. Thanks heaps Marty. 274
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S10R4: Mugello Pre-Race Chat« on: February 10, 2016, 01:03:57 PM »Havent ran a lap here yet but going by rsr times the mclaren is 3 seconds per lap slower then the lambo and 15kmh down so Im looking forward to having no hope. I'm in the same boat Marty.......well sort of, most of my lack of pace has something to do with talent, and not being able to set a car up. 275
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S10R4: Mugello Pre-Race Chat« on: February 10, 2016, 10:24:55 AM »So Wally, everyone has to come in on laps 6 and then later on 23? Rolz, the pit window for the two stops is between 6 and 23. You must stop twice anywhere in that window. eg. you could stop on laps 11 and 12 and fulfill the compulsory stops requirement. 276
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Bucket list: future season ideas« on: February 02, 2016, 10:42:25 AM »Just a thought from my jet lagged brain. How about a full distance race in the Lotus 98t at Spa or somewhere similar. I think picking the right boost settings for economy will make for exciting racing. What about half distance and 2X fuel? I'd love to drive this car......for a while. 277

That was fun.
Sorry I had to leave after race one. I stupidly busted my AC joint up (playing football 6 months ago) and the driving position I have irritates it. It was a pleasure to be back racing though....thanks all Darren 278

I didn't do enough (any) practice in these cars and had crashed about five times before I quit. I've been tooling around in the McLaren for the GT3s.

Hi all,
I'm Darren (doobs or mofodoobs) and I'm returning after a couple of years absence. Currently working in a musical equipment shop, have been a public servant, and worked in a coffee roast house. I roast my own coffee, and like making food. I raced NKPRo here for a couple of seasons and I'm really looking forward to returning. I started out with Indy500 on the Amiga (I'm not counting pitstop on the 64), F1GP before eventually moving to Indycar Racing 2 on the PC. I started online competition over at Austeam with Nascar 4, then Nascar 2003, and rFactor before iracing splintered the online racing community a bit. I've been at iracing for over 5 years but rarely compete. It's not much fun, unlike here. Cheers Darren 285

I've put you on the grid. Choose a car at some stage. Thanks Wally, I'm looking forward to it. I'll be driving a few of them and see if I can drive ANY of them. |
