,i mean there is nothing else except what doobs did.....leaving the season, but thats is not going to work for him...nowhere!!

Sure it works Simone, I'd rather do that than get so pissed off I abuse someone and get banned for life.
After last night (which wasn't the first meet where I was effectively knocked out of having any fun on the first lap in both races) I have the following attitude:
If I race I won't be practicing, I won't bother qualifying, and I won't give a shit as to how I drive so I'm likely to show up for the last two weeks.
Soooo, I doubt I'll be racing the last two races. If I think my attitude has changed, I will drive, otherwise it's not worth it.

Race 1: pinball
Race 2: punted

Don't think I'll bother for the next two weeks

For the couple other guys in the Mclaren I have managed to find some lap speed out of it but its still rather slow in the straight so nothing can be done about that. I havent managed to make a setup for mediums thats real good for the race without having to back off a little yet.

Ive attached my qualy setup which is good to push 100% for lap 2 on mediums without needing to worry about tyre temps and a race setup for hards where you can also push hard without worrying about overheating the LR tyre which can cause excessive blistering in the rear and it will turn to crap once enough blistering has occurred. Medium qualy setup with some adjustments should be quicker in race as long as you keep an eye on the left rear tyre and try not to get it over 90c too long.

Lap times with these with the soft tyres qualy RSR setup
RSR 1:49.4
Medium Qualy setup in server on low fuel lap 2
1:51.1
Race hard setups low fuel run
1:52.8

Top speed 12kmh down to Guybrush in the Lambo.  :'(

Thanks heaps Marty.

Havent ran a lap here yet but going by rsr times the mclaren is 3 seconds per lap slower then the lambo and 15kmh down so Im looking forward to having no hope.  ;)

I'm in the same boat Marty.......well sort of, most of my lack of pace has something to do with talent, and not being able to set a car up.

So Wally, everyone has to come in on laps 6 and then later on 23?

Hard tires I think will be the go for me here with that temp... I have no setup for the Audi here so will be starting with a blank canvas

Rolz, the pit window for the two stops is between 6 and 23. You must stop twice anywhere in that window. eg. you could stop on laps 11 and 12 and fulfill the compulsory stops requirement.

Just a thought from my jet lagged brain. How about a full distance race in the Lotus 98t at Spa or somewhere similar. I think picking the right boost settings for economy will make for exciting racing.

What about half distance and 2X fuel? I'd love to drive this car......for a while. :)

That was fun.

Sorry I had to leave after race one. I stupidly busted my AC joint up (playing football 6 months ago) and the driving position I have irritates it.

It was a pleasure to be back racing though....thanks all

Hi all,

I've upgraded my vid card and going to put my previous two cards on Gumtree, but wanted to give a heads up to anyone here who might be interested.
I'll be asking for $240 $220 for them, and the adapter on GT, but if anyone here wants to buy them I'll sell for $220. $170. I have no idea what they're worth, but I was obviously asking too much. I don't really care if I sell them, but if anyone wants let me know.
I'm in Brisbane

If you want to know anything else PM me or respond in this thread.

Cheers

I have a couple of HD6590's and a mini dp to dvi that I'm going to put on gumbytree, but thought I'd see if anyone needs (wants to upgrade) first?
Cheers

I didn't do enough (any) practice in these cars and had crashed about five times before I quit. I've been tooling around in the McLaren for the GT3s.

Pm'd you Wally.   :)

Hi all,

I'm Darren (doobs or mofodoobs) and I'm returning after a couple of years absence. Currently working in a musical equipment shop, have been a public servant, and worked in a coffee roast house. I roast my own coffee, and like making food.

I raced NKPRo here for a couple of seasons and I'm really looking forward to returning.

I started out with Indy500 on the Amiga (I'm not counting pitstop on the 64), F1GP before eventually moving to Indycar Racing 2 on the PC. I started online competition over at Austeam with Nascar 4, then Nascar 2003, and rFactor before iracing splintered the online racing community a bit. I've been at iracing for over 5 years but rarely compete. It's not much fun, unlike here.  :)

Cheers

Hi Wally,

Long time, no see. I've been lurking for a while.
Any chance of getting on the grid, or being a reserve for this series? I got a new video card and can finally play AC properly again.

Cheers
Darren
G'day Dooobs, welcome back. I've put you on the grid. Choose a car at some stage.

Thanks Wally, I'm looking forward to it. I'll be driving a few of them and see if I can drive ANY of them.  :)
