I've broken my motherboard, I think. I dropped the video card slightly and it seems to have chipped a circuit on the board.  It won't turn on now (well, it powers on, fans power up, but then it shuts down after a couple of seconds). I reckon I have to replace my mobo.

As a result, I'll have to postpone the Spa round until the following Tuesday.

Thats a bummer Wally did you upgrade your GPU or were you just doing something with the old one, Is your MB fairly recent and so you can get a similar replacement without needing to worry about ram etc?

Would people consider running these cars at Nords a fun run like I would. Or we can run anything, maybe an mx5 cup race somewhere as kind of a pre season test for the next one.

I was putting a gtx 980 in and it slipped out of my fingers a bit and dropped onto the mobo.  If I can still find stock, I can get a mobo for about $80 (it's getting on a bit).

I know. It should have been a simple matter of "take old card out, put new card in".  These new cards are nearly heavier than the power supply!

oh tonnes of stress when you add water cooling in the mix as well!!
Was just thinking so many sharp edges to catch a pipe on and splash goes the water/fluid all over the gear

Phil just pick a combo and hope we get a few in for a bit of racing. Will be a good way for people to test the new plp to ensure it all works fine but it was for me so should be all good. I ran some races after midnight last night and it started to spam the chat box again so worked as intended.

I would prefer an official track especially if you want a few more to turn up. Or one of the very good scratch made mod tracks not an old dodgy rip (maybe keep those for rip mod thursdays😆) but best to stick to official I would suggest.
