Oh no. I have been lobbying for the Porsche short/long tail for a long time and now I am going to miss most or all of the season, as I will be away from mid-July to early October....

Had some laps and I seem to lose 1+ second through the fast S and the straight after that.
Since I am flat out there, I guess it's a setup thing. What do the engineers in here suggest? Lower the suspensions and take a bit of wing off?

Happy you guys liked it. I love these cars, though I think the short tail is a little easier to race...? Only thing I do not like is the turbo regulation---too many buttons.

Re: Le Mans and WEC. Yes, LMP1 is a joke. And the GT competition is also quite silly with all the BoP polemics every year which decide most of the race. Re: Assetto Corsa. No, the new game is based over the Blancpain series. They race GT3 cars (WEC uses GTE cars, which are a bit faster and without ABS). It is quite competitive, but mostly boring, and with very little interest from a constructor/team championship point of view because of various BoPs. I use it---successfully---to fall asleep.

Are we at Monza? Or may I suggest Highlands, either the Long layout or the Very Long layout where these cars can stretch their legs a la Le Mans.
I really don't mind, will make it highlands, But I don't know the track, which is easiest to learn for a fun run, maybe monza best as most sorta know it ?
Personally, I think a normal race track not too long would be easier to deal with. RBR?

I think they mean the first post in the thread shows otherwise (me 5th). Anyway: glad to be back. It was a bit of an anonymous race, but fun enough. Sorry to Phil and Matthew (?) for the T2 mind-slip in lap 1. Thank God I was able to avoid all solid bodies and redress at least one position (but I was not sure about where the second car was, so I got back in line by Lesmo 1.

Hi Wally: the move went ok and the rig is physically up. But I do not have time to test whether it works until tomorrow night, so it is almost sure I won't be part of the race---sorry again. Unless it's broken in some way, I am surely back in for next week. You guys have fun!

Wally: I am not sure yet if I'll make it tonight. I have been sick for a few days and I am a little scared about the long race not doing me any good. I'll try, because then I am likely to miss next race (and possibly the one after that) because I am moving to a new flat and I may need to dismantle the rig a few days earlier. Of course, if I manage to join tonight, I do not expect much---I still have not done anything to solve whatever was causing the game to freeze after around 30 minutes of play last week...

Grat, I would check that you've got enough disk space free on the drive where your replays are stored (Documents/Assetto Corsa). It could be that after half an hour, AC is trying to write the replay file and crashing due to low disk space.
My replays seem to be stored in E:\Documents\Assetto Corsa\replay. E: has 1.6TB of free space,... so I guess it's not that...

About the race: I had a stable car on Sunday. But today she had sudden attacks of unrecoverable oversteer. Why? No clue. Managed a pair of decent laps in quali: 3rd. Could not really do 10 laps in a row in race... at the third attempt, AC crashed.
Any chance you want to share that setup? I'd love to know if that's where I'm going wrong
I am attaching the quali setup. Race was just a lot more fuel and hard tires.
