So what's the plan for this round? Three short races or a another long one with a pit stop?

I'll stick with that format for the remainder of the season.

Despite my earlier comments in this thread, I'd like a spot on the grid if no-one wants it :)

Stan's eyes light up...

I think I'll enjoy this track more in the 98T. It seems to have a slightly nicer flow.

I just remember the nice, fast, flowing s-bend that used to be there, that better suits the rest of the track. 8)

It's a shame the nurburgring has pretty much gone bust.  It was meant to hold the F1 race this year but they can't afford it.

I also dislike the stadium section,  well all slow corners really, but it is quite a technical challenge.

Yep, massive infrastructure, no crowds to pay that infrastructure off and Bernie's outrageous F1 prices... Is it still up in the air where the German round will be held this year?

It isn't a definite yet AFAIK, but Hockenheim is all but locked in instead of Nurbs.

But they don't want to pay bernie either, which is why they rotate it with Nurby in the first place.
Bernie has said there may be no German GP, so the game is still afoot. :-\

Maybe the 2016 f1 season will share the same awesome tracks as the formula e series.  :-\

Hi All!

I'm free again tomorrow... is there room for me to join in again?  ;D

Is there a practice server? I really need to do a few laps tonight with this weapon of a car.  :o

We're pitting with these from the looks of it...

Anyone want to share thoughts on lap time pitting and tire longevity?
Change tires as well etc?

 ;D

Yes, pit stop in race 2 only.  I didn't change tyres last round, but now I can't remember if I used softs or mediums.

I did the 22 lap race on one set of softs last week (forgot to change) and they were very poor when they were cold after the pit stop but once they got back up to tempt they were manageable. If you're pitting you might as well just change them as I don't think there's much to gain by skipping it. I assume the crew will refuel and change tires simultaneously (correct me if I'm wrong) and brimming the tank does take a good bit.

As for fuel, at Imola it about about 12.5 laps to a tank which gave you a bit of a window to try and undercut or stretch it out. I'm not sure how far a tank gets you at Nurburgring but I'm guessing you'd probably be able to go a little further than half the total distance again. That's what I'm hoping for anyway :P

Yes, the pit crew change tyres while you're refuelling, so it's no loss to change them.

Race server is up. It's the one that has "RACE" in the name, hint, hint.

Good race tonight fellas, still can't get onto the same pace as the front runners, but we always have some decent back of the pack battles  :)

Very good race, I just wish I had the consistency to keep up with Wally & Krahl.
But these cars are damn tricky, not for the tired man with no praccy :)
