On the topic of stats, it might be an idea to add the stracker link to the OP as it's slipping further down the front page. http://54.66.161.14:8080/lapstatOn that note it seems like it's been down most of the day. Could that have sometime to do with you restarting the server, Wally?

I used to get some pretty nasty hangs rather frequently, 2-3 seconds as you describe but sometimes bad enough to require a hard reboot. I tried to work it out when I started doing Tuesdays here but couldn't find much by googling around. In the end I turned off post-processing effects and although it doesn't look quite so nice anymore the random hangs have almost completely stopped. Two in about a month as opposed to nearly every other race.

If you just understeer the 458 into the corner, then you're overdriving it. The crossbow will do the same, actually even worse. The fast way is the proper way - slow in, fast out.
I'm pretty smooth in the x bow and it feels ok...just the 458 felt like it was on ice...undrivable to be honest...maybe a setup thing? I tried to be smooth but felt yuk 
It's important to remember it's 'only' a roadcar on semi-slicks. You need to brake nice and early and feed the power in gently on the exit (or not. It's a bit of a drift monster  ). The fronts lock up very easily and I find the ABS kicks in way too soon and that results in some horrid understeer. As Wally suggested, try dropping the pressures a click or two and I like a bit more negative cambre, 3/4 clicks front and 2 rear, for better turn in and mid-turn grip. Maybe post a replay file if you keep having trouble?

What's this for, Wally? Are you off on holidays? Good so see a mod track in the mix. I had wondered if you avoided them to keep things easy. Would love to see Barbagello in there someday. Cheers for organising everything and keeping it running so smoothly!

Had a bit of a go on the practice server and wow these cars are close. I was 1.2 seconds faster in the 458 but I use the paddles. I'm sure that in capable hands using a third pedal and shifter, the F40 and X-bow would be much closer to the 458. I didn't give the E30 a go but I'm thinking that it has the most amount of set up options to help tailor it to each circuit. The more that I think about it the more excited I am to see how all these options are going to play into the racing. God knows how I'm to choose just one car!

You probably looked at the replay (I haven't myself) before coming to that decision, Wally, but I'd still say I'm half to blame given the way we're supposed to go about turn one. That is, slow and steady in order tokeep everyone on the track and I believe I sort of ran him out of room on the straight. I'd say it was a little bit silly (yet out of character, I haven't forgotten Monza, Stan! ) on Stan's part but I've certainly had plenty of my own stupid stuff ups throughout the latter half of the season without consequence. Anyway, congratulations to Stan on the championship win and here's hoping for plenty of close racing come season 6!

Then later in the race I had a great tussle with Perch, who got the speed on me in general - but he used the high-df set, therefore near-unable to overtake. Hehe.
This was endlessly frustrating! Through Bruxelles, Pouhon, Campus I was all over you but couldn't hold it through Blanchimont to pass at the chicane. I kept trying the inside there in hope of bullying you into doing something silly but even if I had succeeded I couldn't have kept you behind down Kemmel. Again, solid drive mate and sorry about the shunts! managed to pull some nice drafts behind Perch
As though the high DF didn't leave me enough of a sitting duck, it turned out my DRS was never even working! I still had '7' for boost mapped to the same button in the logitech profiler from the last two rounds Oh well, it was good fun trying to defend into Les Combes by sitting in the left-centre of the track and then swerving back onto the racing line before the corner. Perhaps a bit aggressive but I was running out of ideas to you keep you and the rest of the pack behind! Fun time

So what'd happened with the server browser was that when Benanas was added to the server it bumped the slots up to 24/24 and I didn't have full server included. I never realised as the last couple of weeks and the first race had hadn't been full. Bummer. Someone made the point that when I rejoined I let a few people through but I was likely only going to come back and pass them anyway. In hindsight it didn't make a lot of sense but it didn't felt right just to muscle my way into the middle of the field, a lap down myself. I hope I didn't stuff anyone up with my misguided race etiquette! Both race starts seemed pretty smooth. It's great to be able to race with such a good bunch who all just want a good race. It's far more pleasant than most public servers. Bring on Spa!!

I did the 22 lap race on one set of softs last week (forgot to change) and they were very poor when they were cold after the pit stop but once they got back up to tempt they were manageable. If you're pitting you might as well just change them as I don't think there's much to gain by skipping it. I assume the crew will refuel and change tires simultaneously (correct me if I'm wrong) and brimming the tank does take a good bit. As for fuel, at Imola it about about 12.5 laps to a tank which gave you a bit of a window to try and undercut or stretch it out. I'm not sure how far a tank gets you at Nurburgring but I'm guessing you'd probably be able to go a little further than half the total distance again. That's what I'm hoping for anyway
