Its usually set up for dump trucks, but they trialled an excavator kit. It is in its own shipping container, fully air-conditioned, 180degree curved screen (triple 1080p rear projector), full motion base and runs off four server rack mounted PC's with 6th gen i5s, 16gb ram, gtx960's. Would love to convert it to racing rig lol. I think it's a seven figure system Logged Bacchulum RestrictedRacing Hero Member Posts: 3403 Karma: 96 Re: Professional sim used by Erebus motorsports « Reply #5 on: January 27, 2018, 09:11:19 AM » Quote from: Wally on January 27, 2018, 12:31:02 AMhttps://mrdd.com.au/The simulator can be yours for only $104,500. You'd think there must be a reason for it, or some reason why the drivers don't think it's a dealbreaker. With the stationary wheel, and the seemingly low range of motion...I'd rather get a 401. It's around $50k US, so I expect it'd come a bit cheaper, even shipped. I think it's a seven figure systemExcavator racing?Probably shouldn't have hijacked this thread, but yeah there is a bit of competition among the digger drivers with the highest bcm/hr. This sim is a good bit of fun and quite realistic Logged grat Hero Member Posts: 1174 Karma: 16 Re: Professional sim used by Erebus motorsports « Reply #12 on: January 27, 2018, 05:13:41 PM » Quote from: Wally on January 27, 2018, 03:58:27 PMQuote from: buellersdayoff on January 27, 2018, 08:35:27 AMWe have a simulator at work https://photos.app.goo.gl/36GGZx5m0tE6AwBG2Made a short clip while I put one our excavator operators through the basic training program.
