I have just driven to Humper's house and picked up 1.96 :)
Everything seems to have installed correctly but i notice that as soon as i touch redline the screen tears badly from side to side... anyone else get this?? I am only using a keyboard at the moment as there is still much to do to get the hyper setup, as i'm in auto mode the car must hit redline to change gear :o

it looks like very rapid L R head swings, no key mapping, only happens when red line is hit, lasts for about 5 seconds then returns to normal...
I have pulled my PC apart so i wont be able to do further investigation for a while...
BTW we have some extra stuff, a server viewer here, which not only gives live broadcast but retains all the previous lap records and speed etc etc in the lead up to the round.Hey because RPO is back are you all being "nice" to me again? seen the results?

The Setups: Choice of 0It does, each car drives well, they have there own strengths and are very forgiving with all having one thing in common that a setup change can't fix.... no brakes ;) which should encourage some overtaking.

I found the harder i pushed the more i suffered. Brake early and line up the corner and you really want to be over 50% throttle by the time you hit the apex. If you can't do that you have gone in to hot. Just waiting for someone else to come along and blow my time.
I took a slight detour on the way to work this morning, i dropped in to Hyper and picked up a new USB interface, it is killing me listening to you guys chat about the mod and me sitting at home unable to participate, so it shuld be a busy night setting everything up, hopefully you'll see me on the server tonight :)
The new owner of Hyper is a nice guy, i'm going to book my pedals and wheel in for a service and upgrade....things are getting serious now ;D
He runs rFactor in the race centre, maybe some of us Melb guys should book a night...????

my user account has administrator rights. I just modified the ini and saved it to my desktop, then deleted the original ini and then moved the modded one into the rFactor folder :) Now the rFactor wont run! I see the HistorX 1.96 splash screen..... then nothin.... >:(
Don't ya hate n00bs.....And with later "Windoze" a top is to install to the root dir "C:" that way you can get to am the files direct rather than some in your profile.
Way ahead of you, i have deleted everything and starting again... I'm also reading up on rFactor and Windows *.1

I tried a few different cars, the only one i can get into the 25.XX's is the Javelin, so if you can't beat them, join them.....You'll toughen up and get that XerGeNy back.
